Unbelievable Toshiba Progressive Scan 32" TV bargain. £670!!!!!!
Yes, this tv retailed at £1500 a year ago, and is now less than half the price at Digital Point.
You can find it HERE
At £671, you really cannot go wrong. Tosh tv tubes deliver stunning images every time - better and more natural than Pixel Plus and any other Pic processing on other models.
If you can afford it, please buy one!!
Love it

RE: Unbelievable Toshiba Progressive Scan 32
Thanks Westy - Sounds like a great buy for my folks - they`ve been looking for a while. Even better buy when Dabs.com have it for £1032.82. Tesco are doing it for £999 and their web page say they will price match and install (and you get the Nectar Points!)
Other sites have the 32zd26 and the P stands for Pan eurovision

RE: Unbelievable Toshiba Progressive Scan 32
I got one of these last year for £800, a very good TV but has some slight issues with dark bands down the left/right of the screen - about 1inch each side.
Apart from that very nice.
RE: Unbelievable Toshiba Progressive Scan 32
Just spoke to Toshiba, they`re not aware of the lines - thougt it might be oneof the tvs screen size settings - but then again they might just be saying that.

RE: Unbelievable Toshiba Progressive Scan 32
Thanks for coming back Hominid. It makes interesting reading - only recent probs I could find were on the 36inch model - namely the buzz. Do you think things might have improved since the last comment was dated Oct 2002?
Westy any comments?
Cheers

RE: Unbelievable Toshiba Progressive Scan 32
Don`t get me wrong, it`s a great TV. It just has a few niggles, on the page i gave it give a few hints on how to minimise most of the issues that might come up.
As i said i only have a couple of issues, the dark bands down the sides of the screen - only really noticable on reds/oranges. And a slight halo-ing of bright objects, again on the edges of the screen. No buzzing or any of the other problems discussed. They might have fixed the issues in subsequent revision of the TV, remeber i`ve had mine a year now.
i don`t use progressive scan/100Hz mode because it looks flickery to my eyes.
You should really like it.
RE: Unbelievable Toshiba Progressive Scan 32
Thanks for getting back Hominid sounds like it would be okay for my folks - I`ll see if currys or Tesco have any on display. Also Tesco said they could price match but would only sell at matched price when they`ve updated their web page - which could take about 2 weeks!
Cheers

RE: Unbelievable Toshiba Progressive Scan 32
It has changed price and stand.
I think that stand looks well smarter. The other made it look too much like a rear projection beast.

RE: Unbelievable Toshiba Progressive Scan 32
Yeah, different stand but does it justify the price increase of £146 (from £671 to £817)? expensive stand, unless it was incorrectly priced in the first place.
Did anyone managed to buy one at the cheaper price?
