Well i just bought one of these (sorry no link) from asda and its great plays All disc`s including Vcd/Svcd/Mp3 Dvd- and Dvd+ copies as well as Dvd`s !.
All disc`s play fine without losing lip-sync after skipping through them...also can be set to multi region too.

Found another player online here its a Daewoo DVG6000D A very versatile multi region DVD player, and great value at this price. This player is compatible with all major disc formats including VCD, SVCD, CD R/W & DVD R/W disc`s and MP3 CD`s. Includes a built-in PAL/ NTSC converter and there is a hack for it too.
Thats £50 delivered inc insurance.

Steven, I bought mine in Edinburgh. The price on the display stand does say £48.79, but when it is scanned through the checkout, it comes up as £44.99. Great machine, looks more than what it cost and a 3 year warranty. A lot easier trying to convince the wife at that price as well.

Yes it has the same internals as the Schneider 1003 model (so it plays everything) and i know it has a multi-region hack too ........and to the previous question about where i bought mine from > well it was from a store in Bradford as the local Huddersfield store was out of stock and both stores had them listed as £44.99.

Schneider is £37.49 in the ASDA in the Owlcote centre, Pudsey, Leeds.

just bought the schneider 857 for £37.63 each they have 5.1 dolby & play everything aparently! you use the 1003 hack
