Page 1 of epson photo printer 830u £49
Bargain Buckets Forum
i read an advert in saturday papers from p.c. world that said the epson photo printer 830u was £49, from £99, until next tuesday, it was a four day thing. i just went to their website and its there on the homepage.
know i dont know if its a web only thing, or if there was a voucher of sorts in the paper, i dont recall the paper mentioning the net only, but i only had a quick glance at it.
i got one a few weeks back for £99, which was still a good price because its been great so far, really good results for what i need. and the ink isnt too expensive, you can get other brand ones for around £10 both colour and black.
out of interest, i got mine from jessops, do they have anything where if you see it so many days after purchase, they refund the difference? cant hurt to ask.
still @ £99 in store :-(

RE: epson photo printer 830u £49
Yep you need to take the newspaper with you. They also have PS2 and XBox chart titles at £29.99. I went to my local store this morning and several people were complaining about this ad and the manager wouldn`t budge because they didnt have the ad. Don`t think he was too happy when I lent them my paper. Shame!
out of stock on web site so if i can get add from paper take it in theyll honour price u think?
The ad was not in today's papers (I think) but it was in Saturdays
I went & got one today, had to have the ad, so went to local paper shop first & asked them it they still had any of Saturdays left.
The ad was in the Mirror & the Sun, don`t know about any other papers.
Thanks for the heads up cirdan
go into dixons ask for 1 they advertise at 99 comes up at 49.99 on there system as i wnet into oxford street dixons today to see if they would price match there own ie: currys when he went on computer in shop they came up at 49.99 so grabbed 1
these printers any good have the 790 @ mo getting on a bit now though
I had a Lexmark X73- the print was fine but the ink cost a bomb!
Even buying compatible cartridges, it cost about £32 to buy 1 black & 1 colour cartridge.
The Epson uses chipped cartridges, but you can still buy compatibles & get 4 black & 4 colour cartridges for about £32.
Goodbye Lexmark, Hello again Epson…
Here's a link for compatible cartridges, I've used this firm for years

Cheers. Thanks for the spot. Needed a new printer. Got one of the last two at PC World in Guildford.
If you have their newspaper add cutting, take that to your local "Currys" & they will price match it.
Today is the last day of the offer.
Their out of town superstores are normally open till 8 pm in the weekdays.
