Bargain Buckets Forum
Okay, after trawling through everyones opinions Im decided on either the AWIA 370 or the LG3350E.
Now I need to know, where`s the cheapest you guys have seen these, be it online or out in the real world.
Cheers
Mark
I`ve seen the LG in my local Our Price in Manchester for £199.99 with 3 free DVD`s from their £12 sale range. Not too bad.

Damn, my local our price shut a couple of weeks ago
Yeah but I bet it`s the LG3200!
007.
Just checked, yeah, they are LG3200s (non-hackable, lower quality...) Ne`er mind...
Hey less of the LG3200s (non-hackable, lower quality...)
Picture, sound and build are top banana compared to some players I could mention, it is hackable, depending on the firmware and if I wanted to play mp3 on it all day what`s the point, I thought people bought DVD players to play DVD`s !!!??!? geez you guys want it all a player that can do everything including making toast all for £150 !!!
You`ve got more chance of meeting moses.>>
The biggest difference between the 3200 and the 3350e apart from the different formats of discs it will play (and I partly agree with the MP3 so what comments above), is that the 3350e also features a Dolby Digital decoder, which you can use to drive compatible amps if you don`t have a DD telly.
But I`m like most other people who post here, and finding one at a good price is pretty difficult. Dabs is the best price I found £189, Currys sell them for £249 and there`s a couple of other sites that do them for something in between. (I`m not bothered about the making toast, but £60 in £250 is a big difference)
But nobody has any stocks, apart from Currys apparently. I`ve had an order placed with Dabs since 04 Jan, and they`re saying they might have a delivery 1 Feb, so don`t believe their web site (unless you`re reading this after 30 Jan!)
If you want to take a risk on makes that nobody ever heard of, try www.richersounds.co.uk They have multi-region DVD players starting at £110. Definitely not toast makers at that price. But do they have any stocks? Usually not in my experience.

I recently received my LG 3350e from dabs.com. It took less than two weeks - not bad in the post-Xmas rush to restock. I reckon I`ve got a bargain at £189. It seems well built, reasonably stylish, with excellent connectivity (the 2nd scart helps daisychaining). Techtronics do a chipped multiregion version with the VCR defeat disabled, though supposedly there`s even a remote region hack. I haven`t had cause to try it myself, ie. do so at your own risk, etc, but here it is:
Press "PAUSE" on the remote. Enter "3 1 4 1 5 9" on the remote (the word COdE appears on the display) Enter "0" on the remote (0 = all Regions, 1 = Region 1, 2 = Region 2, etc.) Press "PAUSE" on the remote. Power off and on the player. The Region is always displayed as NO.02 even if you have performed the above hack. Press "SETUP" button on the remote. Select TV Aspect. Place the cursor on 16:9 wide. Enter "1 3 9 7 1 3 9" on the remote. Press "ENTER" on the remote. Press "SETUP" to clear the information once read.
Go to WHSMITH for the LG3200, they have `em in stock, ESP in the South of England!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
