ignore if you don`t like Splash DVD ;-)

OK, so this posting is partly to gloat a bit but also to advise anyone looking for a CD bargain to keep an eye on the clearout section at Splash, who I have found to be very cheap and prompt of late.

I`ve ordered (yes, and received, before you ask!) a ridiculous amount of stuff from them over the past three months and it has all arrived within 10 days, no hassle.

I appreciate that many of you have had bad experiences with Splash in the past but I can only suggest that they`ve taken the criticism on board and cleaned up their act of late.

Anyway, I have just ordered these and was hoping to tip the rest of you off to the bargain but it looks like they were both one-off reductions:

"LED ZEPPELIN 4CD BOX SET: £17.13"
(and more to the point)
"BEATLES BOX SET BREAD BIN 15CD: £100.61"
(free delivery on both of course)

Like I say, there were none left when I went to check just now, but there could well be more on the way! I sincerely hope somebody else picks up a bargain like this.

J

PS Blur`s new album, `Think Tank`, is still there for under a fiver too.

LOL - cant ignore anything relating to Splash - I`ve been waiting 1 month now for True Romance Special edition DVD - what a joke - no update as to where they are with the order - nothing - oh, except they took the money about a month ago - suprise suprise. They havnt cleaned their act up just yet.

Sorry to hear that Bob - seems bizarre that they f**k some customers about (like you) but give a good level of service to others. Well I will keep flagging up any bargains I spot with them anyway and hopefully someone else will benefit. Hope you get your DVD sharpish. Bombard them with emails until they give in!

There`s hope yet. I ordered True Romance SE too and had been charged within 3 days, but had to wait nearly 7 weeks for it to arrive. I tried emailling and telephoning them and never had a single response. Still at least I got it eventually.

Placed an order for a c.d. with SplashDVD at 1113 hours this morning and at 1554 hours I received an e-mail stating it had been dispatched.

My lovely Beatles bread bin arrived on Saturday - just four days after placing the order! I have to say, it`s a beautiful collector`s item so if anyone spots one for less than £150, I`d heartily recommend it.

OK, so I`m gloating again but this posting is also to give Splash credit when it`s due.

They still seem to be adding items to the bargains list on a daily basis. The latest example I spotted (sadly no longer available) was a box set of the first 8 Black Sabbath albums for £18. Cheap as chips!

The Sabbath CD`s would`ve been a tremendous bargain. Got the Opera album 2002 instead. Fathers day coming up soon.
