I would check that `4.0` Mega pixel resolution` spec closely - its more likely a 2meg effective, and 4 with software manipulation. Even some of the most well known manufactures like Fuji, have started to use this gimmic in their advertising (as i observed in a recent PCWorld advert)

Megapixels are not created equal.

You may get better image quality from a £200 2mpix camera from a good brand (Canon, Olympus, Nikon) than from a cheapie 4 mpix.

There is far more to image quality than the number of pixels.

Also, you should be wary of build quality. I`ve just had a cheap camera fail, about a month out of guarantee, with an internal short. Luckily the batteries were low on charge, or I would have had a fire.

At least it has an optical zoom. That`s a good sign. But it may not be the bargain it looks.

i think that this camera is worth a look, and will get one.
i know some of u think that it is risky cos of the unheard of brand, but i think that the features will weigh up the balance.
3 x optical and digital. ond the rest.
aldi do have a good return policy tho, so if it does turn out pear shaped - i may have to take advantage of it.
it`ll be a birthday present for myself - birthday on 23rd . so hears to hoping that its ok.

Aldi`s product quality is generally excellent, I expect this camera will be good value for the asking price, although I`ll be sticking with my Canon A20 for a while yet. ;-))

ok guyz
"i`ve finally gone and done it!!
i`ve bought the damn thing."
i arrived at the store just as they opened the doors. about 10 people in queue infront of me. i`m thinking "will i even get one".
two guyz get the £190 28inch tv`s - they only had 2.
i looked around for the cam but couldn`t find it.
guy at counter said they`re keeping them under the counters - what luck - i was the third person to buy one, this was at 9:15am.

its ok.

looks good and operates great.

only prob so far is that i can`t get pic`s onto pc with the usb.

when i plug it in win 98 searches for the driver, goes to update, then blue screens.

my pc is always buggin up.

but i`m gonna try again tommorow.

this cam is ok. it does its job and the pics look great.
check the site http://www.traveler-service.de for more info on the cam, but they`re all probably sold out by now.

got the probs sorted out by a quick fone call to the freephone service number.
only downside at the momment is that the video clips do not record sound.
thats no problem tho
