RE: Hyundai multi region Player and 4 dvd`s 49.99
Saw this in the paper today, what is this company like? They sound a bit shady "Crazy Eddy`s Limited" and using old Jeremy Beadle doesn`t inspire me with confidence. Beadle`s about, need I say more?
Having said that the player looks ok, don`t really know much about it.
RE: Hyundai multi region Player and 4 dvd`s 49.99
I believe Beadle actually owns the company, as you probably know he`s been touting DVD package deals for ages, this is the first one that looks remotely like a bargain for a first time or bedroom machine.
I`ve bought and used Hyundai computers for business use several times and have never had any problems.

The fact that it doesn`t give the technical spec of the machine isn`t too comforting but I guess it is aimed at the non technical.
Would like to have checked out an independent review elsewhere though, as I`m looking for a decent cheapy player.

If it`s the Hyundai DVD320A it`s virtually identical to the Scan 440

The player does look like a bit of a bargain, but there`s no contact details on the web site for returns or anything also the Credit card page is not encrypted.
Still i think i`m gonna risk it.

T-p0t,
Found a freephone number 0800 138 8742 this might be a bit safer than posting CC details on an open site.

RE: Hyundai multi region Player and 4 dvd`s 49.99
micky,
This the the spec for this machine :
Plays DVD/VCD/CD/CD-R/RW /MP3
I believe clayts is correct in identifying the player as the DVD320A.
Might I suggest if you are interested, phone the freephone number and ask what model it is.;-)
This is a recent review I found for the DVD320A
" The Hyundai brand is new to the UK, though you might have heard of the Korean company`s cars. This DVD player, couldn`t be mistaken for a four-door family saloon; it`s an appealing slimline design, just 44mm high. But that isn`t the end of its charms. The LED display and stylishly recessed controls complete the understated front panel, while around the back you`ll find composite video, S-video, Scart, stereo audio and electrical digital audio outputs. OK, there`s nothing fancy like a built-in Dolby Digital decoder or component video outputs, but few buyers will insist on these...
The remote is basic, perhaps a little cluttered, but comprehensive (it includes a dimmer for the LED panel). A simple setup procedure includes a choice of front speaker sizes and an optional screensaver. The player supports Dolby Digital, DTS, CD, CD-R and MP3, and gratifyingly, we found that it was multiregion out of the box. We also found performance better than you might expect - the Special Edition of Amélie showed a strong picture with wide dynamic range, while the R1 American Beauty offered a full soundstage and clear, fresh images. Music from CD offered a smooth and reasonably dynamic sound. An affordable machine with good design, impressive performance, and multiregion capability out of the box. What more could you ask? asp £ 130.00
