Hi there just had to put this into the forum. An advert was placed in the Glasgow Herald last Wednesday offering brand new Pioneer Plasmas seriously cheap a 43 inch model (pdp433hde) was £2000 and the 50 inch model(pdp 503hde at £2500(Savings of £4k).The phone number was a mobile number price, included delivery and installation. When i phoned the number the options to pay were credit card, postal order, bank transfer, but if i wanted to pay by credit card i had to visit the store in Bristol.God knows how far that is from Glasgow and i dont want to risk a credit card order incase i get ripped off.So basically does any one know or have heard of this order.

Name the shop and I`ll tell you if I know it. There are a couple of small home cinema shops in bristol, so it might be legit...

There`s no need to be rude. If he`d named the store I might be able to tell him if they are a legit outfit or not (as I live in the city in question). He didn`t, so I can`t. I haven`t seen the ad so I don`t know how professional it was, or whether it was a dodgy small ad in the back of the paper.

Small companies do advertise nationally if they offer a mail order service. If you actually read the bit of my post you quoted again you`ll notice that I wrote "so it might be legit...", which was meant to indicate my scepticism. I don`t rule anything out until I know the facts though.
