does this daypass mean anyone can visit the store?
usually you have to provide documentation,ie.you have to be a business user with vat.no. to get a card! if you can just visit for the once without all this,it would be very interesting!
anybody have any thoughts or ideas, comments!

As far as I`m aware Makro are very flexible on the day pass, you just ask at the reception for one.
Although I would phone first just to make sure ;-))

You should also be aware that there are restrictions on what can be bought with a day pass, so you should check this before going in too when you call.

Kywy, I take it that you added the VAT yourself, as all prices in store and in their flyers are without. I have a card, although I don`t get the flyers anymore as you have to spend something like £50 per day or thereabouts to receive one. It should be pointed out that these offers, if they are in the newest flyer will only be on offer from next Wednesday. It also pays to get there early (most stores open at 09.30), as the best bargains get snapped up. Also you have to be in business or already have a card, but forgot it, to get a day pass. Roger.

Yes correct on the VAT addon and on the early rise on the Wednesday, I think most folk appreciate these special offers go like the hot cakes and need to be quick.
I can only speak for the Glasgow Makro where Pensioners, young couples with babies in buggies etc get day passes without problem. I`ve been behind enough at the checkouts, perhaps they tell a little white lie?.;-))

P.S..The Makro mail flyer seems to appear/disappear depending on when you last purchased something and a phone call will normally reinstate the mailshot.
Cheers ;-)) P

Apologies to anyone who went to Makro this morning at 09.30 only to find that they had sold out of the Pace Digiboxes. Apparently they are opening every day, Monday-Friday at 07.30 until 10.00 p.m. in the run-up to Xmas. As I said in an earlier post, I don`t get the flyers anymore, so I was unaware of this. Roger.

Are there any reviews/info on the Naiko DVD player - All I can find is a recall on one of their 28 inch Widescreens?

The Makro flyer ( I picked up from Southampton Store) says:
DVD/CD/MP3 compatible
On screen display
16:9/4:3 format select
Zoom Facility
Remote Control
Scart Lead Supplied
Model N1170 16165
£59.99 + Vat

This review is not for the N1170 but it may hold the key to getting the thing to play VCD`s?
