You do realise that this is a no obligation club, but one where they take the initiative and send you DVD`s. If you do not like them you have to send them back.

Although you can cancel at any time.

This thread mentioned 2 films for £4.99. plus postage.

There was a box to tick for DVD or video, and I ticked DVD. Also it states you get a free DVD of Mary Poppins when you pay by credit card.

Well I DID tick DVD, and paid there and then with my credit card.

This morning, I got the VIDEO of Sleeping Beauty and an INVOICE!!! Talk about useless. So I don`t get my free DVD, and got a video I can`t use.

I email Time Life ages ago about it, asking where my DVD was as we`d waited and wanted to know if it had gone through.

So now I have to contact them, and try to get them to sort this mess out.

I won`t buy from them again.

Anyone else ordered the DVDs and got videos instead? Or been invoiced after paying up front?

D.

Has anybody received their copy of Mary Poppins? If so, is it the new version or the old flipper?

Thanks

I recieved my first dvd from them today (Robin Hood)

They don`t charge you for the dvd until 4 weeks after dispatch (this gives you the chance to return any unwanted discs)

The free disc is only sent once they have taken the money for the first disc, so you have to wait abourt 4 weeks for the free disc once you recieved your first disc.

Their is no minimum purchase and you can cancel at anytime, if you don`t cancel they will send you one disney disc a month (looks like they charge £14.99 per disc, but not sure if they will add P&P on top of that)

I ordered `Sleeping Beauty` & ticked DVD. I got a VHS Video of `Sleeping Beauty`. I contacted them & they said they would put it right. 2 weeks later 5... yes 5 Disney DVD titles came through with a bill for them. I phoned up to complain again & was told to keep the `Sleeping Beauty` VHS & that they had sent out. They then told me they had sent out Mary Poppins in VHS but because of the trouble to keep that as well. Then whilst talking about time & phone calls the guy suddenly turned & told me he would send out lables for the lot & send back everything including the `Free VHS Disneys` & then put the phone down. I phoned back again & asked for customer services they gave me a number that turned out to be in Amsterdam. I`m not throwing good money after bad & won`t phone abroad to complain. I told this new guy what happened & the best he can do is send out my original order of`Sleeping Beauty` on DVD. Followed by `Marty Poppins` a month later. In spite of there cock ups I probably won`t get `Sleeping Beauty` before Christmas & `Mary Poppins` until the end of January 2003. I have told them NOT to take out anything more from my credit card than the original agreement & have told them NOTHING will be sent back until they compensate me for time trouble phone calls & rudeness ETC.

I got Sleeping BEauty and Robin Hood through on DVD and got a load of crap about continueing to collect. I just phoned them and said that the Web site said no obligation and that i did not want anything else coming through from time Life and the woman was very helpful and said it was a mistake on the page but i won`t receive anything after my two copies of Mary Poppins.
