Band of Brothers is priced at £44.99 at amazon.co.uk.
By using a refer a friend £5 Gift Certificate/Voucher, and the present promotion of anything above £39 has free P+P, you can have the Band of Brothers Boxset delivered for £39.11

Its the cheapest I`ve found but if anyone can find it cheaper it would greatly be appreciated.

Interestingly, Region 4 folks are still advertising this as DTS, anyone know if this is true?

Ordered Band of Brothers from amazon on November 4th, went into "about to be packed stage" about an hour later, at which point i noticed its going to be shipped to my university hall from last year (im in a house now, about 4 miles away). I email amazon, they say its too late to change (well it took them day and a half to reply so im not suprised).

The say they shipped it on the 4th November. I`ve spoken to a lady at my old Hall every day since tuesday, and she reckons they dont have it. Normally if amazon send something out to me, i get it next day. I`ve tried emailing amazon to see if they can find out if it was delivered - no response yet.

Is there anything else i can do ? Can I speak to my post office without having a some sort of Delivery number. I presume that amazon would send it registered or recorded if it was a 40 quid Boxset so surely I should be able to find out where it is. Anyone ever managed to get hold of amazon over the phone, i cant find a phone number...

Thanks in advance

Nick

Recieved mine from Amazon this morning, and Horray its in the tin box.
The packaging is pure class and is a good enough reason to by this set.

Anyway to answer Shoes question, Band of Brothers is excellent. It is a 10 part drama based on the D-Day landing and the subsequent events of an American Airbourne Division ending up with the capture of Hitlers Eagles Nest. It is filmed in a sort of Saving Private Ryan manner (if that makes sense), not surprising since Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks were executive producers with Hanks actually directing one part.

Just Go and Buy this Box Set, especially if you you can get the Tin packaging.

Amazon.ca were doing this for about CAD$80. Even with international P&P, you got 10 bucks off for spending more than 50. Works out at approx 80/2.3. Something like £34. And not bilingual either.

Price comparison sites produce nothing better than about £30-35 + ridiculous P&P.

Well still no Band of Brothers yet, amazon emailed me this morning saying..

"It seems that your order has been temporarily delayed during transit. We`re happy to provide tracking information for our customers when possible, but Royal Mail deliveries do not have tracking numbers."

I`m not sure if i believe them, and if this is just standard response in these cases, they went on to say if i hadnt recieved it by the end of next week, then send them another email.
