Free Nokia 6310i with T-mobile off-peak 750. ( £13.99 a month )

Not sure how good this offer is.

I`ve already got pay as you go phone on T-mobile, but as the phone is a bit crap I`m looking to upgrade. I want to stay on T-mobile, tend to use the phone during the day and the evening, and want a decent spec phone.

Any suggestions ?

The original 6210 is rubbish, no better than a 3210, but the 6310i is tri-band which means you can use it in america, don`t really know what other features it has, but I don`t find it visually attractive, much prefer the Samsung T100.

I just sold my 6210 and now have a T68i.

Pardon me? The 6210 was rubbish? Pull the other one!!
As boring as Nokias may seem, they are bomb proof, have all the features you NEED, have excellent battery life, superb storage facilities, plus so much more i could go on forever.

The Samsung T-100 is rubbish, a bloody hairdressers phone just like the rest of the colour screen brigade. My girlfriend made the mistake of buying one, and indeed it offers nothing more other than a colour screen and those appaling polyphonic ringtones which sound like an ice cream van,(when will they get it right!).

The 6310i is a superb handset, i`ve had 8 months of trouble free use out of mine, and despite having the awful Sony Z7, and the having a `loan` Samsung A-300 when i lost my mob, i can safely say i`ll stick with Nokia til i die!!

For ease of use when you`re drunk, and the fact they`re easy to fix and readily customisable, you really can`t go wrong. Do it.

where`s the best deal for, say, Anytime 60 but keeping my existing T-mobile phone number?

Most places will give it to you for free for a new contract, but they`re not so generous for upgrades ! ( e.g. http://www.ukphoneshop.com/Pay_Monthly.asp?id=264&Network=T-Mobile# )

Indeed you can, plus they`ve added some useful features not present on other phones, like predictive text when using wap, super quick GPRS and bluetooth for all you laptop owners!

As for deals, i really don`t know, you`ll have to spend some MAJOR time looking about to find the best deal!!

I was hoping someone had done the research and be kind enough to post all they know here !!!

I unlocked and reset code on one of these not so long ago, really nice phone.

Reasons why I dont like the 6210:

it`s aimed at businessmen yet it`s not tri-band
it doesn`t connect to any of my compaq stuff; laptop or palmtop, via infra red or anything.
Why is it so big?
The charger needs a lot of cohercing to work

there are some more reasons when I can think of them, maybe I got a dodgy one, but I dont like it, in fact the 3310 is better.
