Yeah, Yeah, I know, they put the prices up etc. but if you hunt through some genuine bargains can be found.

Picked up Men Of Honour, Tigerland, Remember The Titans & Thirteen Days for less than £36.

Not too bad methinks!!

I got Conan, Batman, SPR, Election and Pi for £30, but it should have come to like £50 or something. I didn`t say anything.

About time Trading Standards had a look at HMV, The Green Mile at £19.99??!! The offers virtually worthless, but still they persist in stating that it`s a BOGOF! Come on fellas, wise up!

I usually BOGOFs with the contempt they deserve, but giving this one a cursory glance as I passed the shop I spotted the twin disc M*A*S*H movie and Conan special edition. At essentially a tenner each I bought them. The rest of the range were the usuall suspects available elsewhere for £10 to £13 each but marked at £19.99.

I dont know what you are going on about HMV are only selling the DVD`s at the rrp price. So what`s the big deal about that you can`t tell me that Saving Private Ryan in the BOGOF is not a good deal as that retails at £19.99 normally. If you dont`t like HMV don`t go in there no one is making you.

I have always said this in the past on this forum

You always know when Hmv are having a sale, how?

Mid priced Dvd`s go up to £19.99 so they can offer you buy 1 get 1 free a saving of roughly £2-4 . Trading standards wont look at them because the price has been higher at several store for more than 30 days etc.

The only thing you can do is vote with your cash, i use online stores only.

Well, Hustler, it`s like this. Saving Private Ryan is £8.99 at Play.com which also includes free postage and it`s region 2 to boot! So you think HMV are doing you a favour by charging you £19.99 because it`s a BOGOF? Well how about putting it with The Green Mile, also marked UP at £19.99, good deal huh?..................Not really, Green Mile sells at £7.99 in many places, so you could effectively get both for just under £17.00 and you will have spent just under £20.00 at HMV!!........ So much for their `sale`. What really bugs though is the very fact that they so blatantly PUT UP the prices of all of these items at most of their stores to get you to buy! Now, if you want to continue to defend the indefensible, be my guest.............Just don`t expect me to join you. Roger.
