Safeway, the superstore are selling Daewoo 6000D dvd players for £75. they play just about everything and there is a multiregion hack available. Only fault so far is I can`t get the macrovision off yet.

I know it`s a bit much to hope for, but does this player have a Onboard DD decoder ?

Hope someone can answer.

Sounds a good deal, but I checked out my local stores in North Harrow and Hatch End and all the have is a cruddy Alba model for £79 and only does half as much as the Daewoo - Anyone know of stores that actually have this model?

Cheers,
Bazz

I purchased mine in Anniesland, Glasgow, Scotland. It plays everything, it is multiregion (with remote hack). The only thing i do not have is a firmware update to take the macrovision off.

To jimmcqueen or anyone else out there with new information on how to get rid of the macrovision on the truly superb Daewoo DVG-6000D dvd player, please share the info, I`m sure there are many others who would be grateful.

I`ve been told the only way to get the macrovision off is to change the chip then update the firmware, or purchase a macrobuster for £30. Niether appeal to me
