DVD Import

Has anyone else used these guys recently? I had a couple of bad experiences with them about 18 months ago and they have a couple of titles I want if they have improved their service.

RE: Cheap Progressive Scan / Component DVD Player - £29.99

Can progressive scan only be done through Component?

My problem is my TV has progressive Scan but not the red, green and blue connections. Only Scart and SVHS.

Any solutions much appreciated.

My card has already been refunded but its just the fact that when we all put our details on there we where assured it was safe and now they have admitted what they had in place was not sufficient. I`m going to try and remove any trace of me on their site and never order from them again.

I didnt e-mail them. but here is the reply minus my new login details:

Our web site has recently been subjected to various hacking attempts. We upgraded our security measures in lieu of this to ensure the
personal information we hold for you is fully protected. Part of these security enhancements have provided us information that led us to
believe that some data had been compromised by way of a worm on the server. No anti virus or spyware was able to detect this but we now
have information that contact had been made with an IP address outside our network. We attempted to capture this information without it
leaving the server so as to determine exactly what was being transmitted. Unfortunately this worm had some type of self detection available
and as soon as it realized we had discovered it, it self destructed leaving no trace evidence.

Yesterday the IP addresses we suspected behind this launched a malicious code attack on our SQL server and this allowed us to track their
IP addresses to their source and we have identified ISP's in Russia and the Ukraine. We have contacted the FBI, Secret Service and filed
a full report at www.us-cert.gov. Further a report has been filed with FSB.ru.
We have blocked any possibility of this type of attack being successful but as a
precaution we have auto updated all member account access passwords and now sending you your new temporary password as indicated
below.

We would also request that you pay particular attention to your credit card statement to ensure that your not subject to any fraudulent
transactions and if so notify your credit card issuer immediately. We will be providing a list of all cards we have on file to each of the credit
card issuers so as they can also monitor any suspicious activity.

We will continue to monitor this situation closely as we have been since it arose and you can be assured our efforts to provide you with the
safest shopping environment online will always be of the highest priority.

I to are a DVD Pacific customer and on 10 Aug Diage.com took $34.95 out of my account.

I`ve reported a dispute so should get money back buts not the point.

This is Illegal right?

RE: Masterplug Scart Switcher £19.99 (£5 off)

Picked up one of these a few months ago and had to take it back the next day >:( . The scart switched OK but the colour was not right. All whites came out beige and the Blues(literally) where tainted with green. I had Sky+, DVD and a video running through.

Just my experience.

RE: El Mariachi / Desperado / Once Upon A Time In Mexico Box Set £17.99 at Amazon UK

El Mariachi - Good low budget film which shows in the print.

Desperado - The best of the collection, a stunning revenge film.

Once Upon A Time In Mexico - Rubbish. Micky Rourke`s part is so odd its quite unbelievable why it was put in. Salma Hayek is only in a few a scenes and Mr Depp plays the same part as Pirates of The........ which he was good in but that had a lot to do with the script which is the biggest fault with this film. Avoid.

MY advice is this is a good deal(films per price) but pick the El Mariachi/Desperado only pack which is dirt cheap and enjoy.

From my own previous purchases AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

They dont reply to e-mail messages and take the money immediatly which DVD Soon do but at least they deliver. My last pre-order with them ther order was still showing "Pre-Order" 3 weeks after release and never responded to my e-mails. In the end the credit card got the money back and 6 months later my order still shows "Pre-Order". The Canadian version of the late SplashDVD.

My R3 Matrix Revolutions still shows as "Pre-Release", I`ve e-mailed them for an update but no reply. With all the vouchers floating around like duder I think they must have been swamped.

With Channel when you entered an item into the shopping cart it told you if it counted towards your agreement, worried me to. Luckily the £7.99 ones I ordered did and thats me done.

Actually No, when I ordered the six I got an e-mail form them saying I had fulfilled the agreement and when I log into my account it shows my agreement has been met and I qualify for free shipping. That was something I was worried about but as long as they run offers I will keep buying any that I want. These clubs are not for everyone but I was just looking to get 4 new titles for £20 and luckily for me they have ran offers since and CD`s are cheap.

I joined and picked up Kill Bill, Identity, Once Upon A Time In Mexico and The Italian Job on the 4 for £20. Then they ran a deal DVD`s for £7.99 and I got all six to fulfill the agreement including Dusk Till Dawn 2 Disc Special Edition so I was happy. They are selling more now for £6.99 including The whole Naked Gun trilogy for all the Leslie Nielson fans. You can also buy CD`s which are nearly all £8.99 or cheaper. Amy Winehouse was £6.99 for all new urban jazz fans(who makes these genres up?)

So it worked out for me 10 DVD`s for £70.00.

P.s I have yet to receive any booklets.

RE: Info on Masterplug Auto Scart Switcher from Argos

Can anyone recommend a 3 way Automatic Scart Switcher which supports RGB, all the ones I can find are 5 way`s and I dont need that many, plus they are all very expensive!

If anyone can help I would be very grateful.
