RE: Does LG 3350E player play DVD-R disks?

Thanks Jimbo. Seems a tad hit and miss though. Wonder how the 3350 likes the DVD X Copy and Copy Xpress software.

BTW I was thinking of buying the Pioneer 106

Does LG 3350E player play DVD-R disks?

Does anyone have the LG3350E DVD player and can they confirm if it plays blank DVD-R disks okay?

I was thinking of buying an DVD-RW internal PC Drive but didn`t want to if I couldn`t play the disks on my domestic player

dvdrhelp.com seem to think it is compatible

Any feedback appreciated. Thanks

RE: Harry Potter Disc 2 Problems??

Warners have now issued a helpline for obtaining a replacement disk I believe: Tel:020 8948 5345

Cats and Dogs-£6.99!!!!

A bargain at www.play.com
Well worth it (widescreen version too!)
Bagged it along with Wizard of Oz at same price!

Toshiba SD110E for £60!!!!

Yup and only pay a fiver a month for 12 months.
You have to have an Egg credit card to get this..
Log in to "Service Your Account" area; click on Egg Rewards at the bottom of the page. Take out Life and/ or critical illness insurance and voila, they`ll send you a brand spanking new DVD player.
Pay premiums for a minimum of 12 months and then cancel and you don`t have to return the machine. The Player is sent within 28 days. They have 5,000 to give away
(£5 a month is the minimum premium payable)

I`ve posted this in the Hardware Forum also- wasn`t sure where it fitted in best- it`s hardware and it`s a bargain!!
Pity it`s not a hackable machine or plays CD-R`s though

RE: Which of the cheaper scart cables to get?

I`ve got the BTech from BeyondHiFi. Can heartily recommend them for the price

RE: Asda Cheapy is really a Pioneer 515 for £99!!!

Stoney, what is the model number of the Rowa player? I`ve found this web site relating to the brand. Any of these look familiar?

RE: Asda Cheapy is really a Pioneer 515 for £99!!!

Pity it doesn`t have an RGB output. Still for £99...
I did a search on ROWA on Google, but didn`t come up with anything. As Geraint comments, I wonder if it is hackable?

RE: Cables - do you choose brand names??

Have a look at the B-Tech X range at www.beyondhifi.com. I`ve just bought a 80cm for £10.70 delivered. Still to receive it, so no idea what it`s like:
Oxygen Free Copper cable
Fully shielded, all pins connected
24 carat gold plated connectors
Ultra low capacitance

RE: which of these £200 player to get

Go for the Toshiba 210E. It has just received a cracking review in the new issue of What Video and TV mag.- 10/10 for picture quality
