RE: Certain disks wont output through digital optical to HTK-215

When you set the amp to dvd what does it display when playing the movies.

If it says UNLOCK it is not getting a signal from the DVD player so something is wrong there.

Otherwise I don`t know as I don`t have these DVDs, maybe it just doesn`t like Tom Cruise!!

Toshiba sd 110 e

I`m looking for a player with godd sound and picture quality which outputs dts and has dolby digital compression options, would the toshiba sd 110e be a suitable player for £160?

RE: Home Cinema System: Sony HTK-215 ?

From what I`ve heard it is a very good budget system offering both dolby digital and DTS.

Have a look at the forum below for more information:

By the way try Unbeatable as they sell it at I think £266.99 +delivery and they are due to get a shipment in in the next week.

RE: Sony home theatre kit (HTK 215)

I had to make a decision like yours, first of all I was not sure wether to get the DTT3500 or the Videologic Digitheatre, I deemed the Digitheatre better as seemed better quality and the DTT3500 is primarily for PC use . However I then decided to go with the HTK 215 as it offers much more power, it looks much better, it has DTS and its Sony, therefore it matches the rest of my set up.

Go with the Sony its your best option!

Videologic Digitheatre

I am seriously considering buying the Digitheatre (not DTS) but my only doubt is the lack of DTS decoding.

My budget is £250 and the only budget systems that deecode DTS are the Scan AV6 and the Yamaha TSS-1 but these are not very powerful and seem to lack quality.

What does anyone think about this situation. Should I go for DTS but lower quality or go with good quality with a look to upgrading(which is a good feature of the Digitheatre, the decoder is completely seperate and so upgradeable) in the future (ie. when my bank acount is no longer in the red)?

Does ANYONE have any opinions on the Digitheatre?

Videologic DVD Decoder

Hi,

does anyone know how to hack the region coding and/or macrovision on this decoder card?
