Question for Westy and co
Hi lads i was thinking of buying the sony dav 880 until i looked at your opion and as such i am now having second thoughts. I already have a Toshiba SD 220 player and a Toshiba 32ZP18 picture frame tv and a Yamaha VS-10 sound system. Now this is the second tosh tv and dvd player i have had and i think they are great but the Yamaha is the first sound system i have used. The question i want to know is :- is it worth me binning the Sd220 and going for an all in one or should i just keep the Sd220 and buy a separete amp and speakers. Any input would be great

Need help finding leads
Can anyone help me? I have just ordered a new Toshiba TV to go my my Tosh 210 dvd and i belive the best way to connect the two is with component leads. Does any one have any tips as to where i can pick up a half decent set. Thanks for your help.

50hz or 100hz any difference?
I am thinking of buying a new tv and was wondering if their is any difference in 50hz and 100hz screens. I will be looking for a 32/36 widescreen if poss without pro logic or other surround sounds as i already own a amp and speakers(besides sky wont work in pro logic as i already own a pro logic set and it only uses the rear speakers when sky is off) can anyone recomend a tv?

tomb raider region dts????
A friend of mine borrowed me a copy of tomb raider that he had bought from the local market a crap copy on 2 discs (vcd) but the photocopy of the cover was very good. I noticed on the back of the cover that the sound format was DTS. I have not been able to find a copy of this disc anywhere on the net that contains DTS. My friend has also had several copys of films weeks before i could get them on region 1 imports. Does any one know where these market stalls are getting DTS discs and advance copys of films to copy from????

I have just got myself a philips pronto remote and i think it is the dogs nads. The prob i an having is using the software to alter the remote. I cannot get the software to find the remote!! Does anyone have any tips on how to use it or even better some screens and macros alreadyset up?

I am trying to get hold of a copy of the film "Major League" for a friend for xmas with no luck. It is an oldish film early 1990`s about baseball. Does anyone know where i can get a copy?
Yamaha VS-10 Cinema Station
I have ben trying for about 6 weeks to get hold of a set of rear suround stands for my Yamaha system(the proper Yamaha stands that are shown on the box). I did have a set on order( from www.leconceptpts.com where i bought the cinema station from) only to be told 4 weeks later that after they had spoken to Yamaha that the stands do not exist and never have. Is there anyone outthere that has got a set or even seen a set? This system is now sold at Dixons and it seems that there will be a lot of people loking for the stands rather than use the large BLACK brackets to fix the speakers to the wall.

Sorry DanB i didn`t realise i was being rude by shouting you were right that it was my first time, i`ve learnt my lesson now. Thanks to everyone who replied to me. I was really after the Yamaha stands but i will certinaly give Richer Sounds and Ikea a look. The Yamaha web site was not running last week as it was being updated and it still is not fully working.
SPEAKER STANDS
I HAVE JUST PURCHASED A YAMAHA VS-10 SYSTEM (WHICH IS SPOT ON) BUT I AM HAVING TROUBLE GETTING THE REAR SPEAKER STANDS. I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT I WILL HAVE TO WAT 6 WEEKS CAN ANYONE SUGGEST ANYWHERE THAT MIGHT HAVE SOME IN STOCK?
