hi there,i had a liteon dvd recorder for quite a while,it could be quirky(i had to load a +rw disc in first before it would read a -rw disc) but otherwise it was very good,anyway there is a special offer on a liteon lvw_5115ghc recorder (£49.34) at micro direct,you cant be robbed at that price.hope this has been a help

thanks for the reply i will try a lens cleaner first,i dare`nt send it back (had it 3 weeks)as i`ve recieved a notification that the firm has gone bust!!(panther electrics) but thanks for help.

:/my problem is when i record off the television and take out the disc to play later,it automatically formats it,wiping it clean( even though i finalise after recording) i dare`nt put on any discs of the family on in case they are lost for good.any help would be appreciated.
