RE: How Reliable are Plasma and LCD TVs ???

I agree Philips CRT TV are durable products. We have it at my parents home for 12 years until it was included among all the houses that were burned by fire in our area 11 years ago. The TV goes down with the fire. Six years ago, I bought a flat screen 25" Philips CRT TV. LCD or Plasma TV`s are not yet widely used here in the Philippines because cable TV stations don`t broadcast in High Definition signals yet. But you can see these TV`s on display in electronic appliance stores. But people don`t buy it yet because aside from being costly, it doesn`t have much use at the moment except watching movies on DVD.

RE: For Sale: Brand New Canon 350D Battery Grip BG-E3 - £75 shipped

I am in the market for Canon EOS 350D Digital Rebel XT Digital SLR. I have been reading expert reviews and that has been useful to me. It may be help you too. I had been using PCWorld.com, cnet.com to find reviews. Yesterday I used PriceGrabber's expert review tab (www.pricegrabber.com/info_expertreviews.php/masterid=7139451) and found a site (www.smartratings.com) that aggregates expert reviews. It only covers a few categories but it is pretty neat. Just my $.02.

RE: Pursuit of Happyness - Don`t watch if you value your masculinity

You may know this is based on the story of Chris Gardner...who goes from being ok to very very poor to bottom out, but never gives up, keeps a positive attitude and who finally succeeds. It is a very stressful film if you have had humble beginnings. What I really liked
is it is based on what appears to be a great American story indeed. The toughness of life at the bottom and a man's passion to better ones self is told well. My kid liked it, wife liked it ,Thumbs up here too. For more on the real story of Chris Gardner see link below.
