esave2day Awful Awful `Retailer`.

Bought a monitor from them 3 weeks ago. Not only does it not switch on but it looks like it has been heavily used.

Sent them lots of emails and not a single reply. Emails to their `returns department` snruter[at]moc.yad2evase come back as undelivered.

When I phone them it goes straight to voicemail. Left lots of messages.

How the heck can such a crap company continue to operate, bunch of swindlers. >:(

RE: Is SVP still the best place to buy blank media?

I certainly will not use SVP for blank media.

Got some rather poor ones from them a few months back and they were less than helpful.

Play and Amazon have never sold me such poor discs so I will continue to use them.

RE: Free £5 Paypal Voucher for Your Ebay Postage

I once had a voucher sent ot me by paypal.

Emailed them to confirm it was genuine and they said it was.

Used it to buy something and the damn thing failed to work. Ended getting stuck with an item that had excessive postage.

24Studio Rip Off Merchants

I ordered a chair from this company in September and it never arrived.

I have phoned them on their rip off 0871 number and told them no less than 8 times I never received the item. They must have made over a tenner from me just from all the times they never put me through.

Today these jokers send me an invoice with £20 admin fees and £3.12 service charge plus APR of £18.33!

Daylight robbery I wont be paying them a penny, how can a company do such rc[at]p and get away with it. Googling said company seems to bring up the same tactics they use on a lot of their other customers.

Does anyone know where I stand in this matter if I refuse to pay them?

RE: Free December Issue of PC Advisor

0845 numbers are not free.

RE: Wharfedale WDTR160 DTR with 160GB HDD £74.99

I picked one of these up last week. At £75 it`s a bargain, the quietness of the unit and the fact it is built by Sony convinced me.

It only uses up 3w of power in standby mode, most of the other PVRs do not even have and standby mode which is just ridiculous.

RE: GAME CHIMP - another Chinese Scam site!

Here are a whole host of dodgy wholesale sites based in China.

http://www.diytrade.com

Some sell fake Nokia N95 as the genuine ones and others take payment and give you a bogus shipping number.

RE: Columbo - Series 1 for £6.99

Pity the company is so s***e. I must have had at least 10 orders cancelled by these jokers due to their pricing errors.

RE: Play.com delivery going down the Swanee....

My only issues with Play have always been the way they package the dvd box sets.

I have recieved 3 damaged ones which I have had to return, when will they stop using those thin jiffy bags for the 6 dvd box sets.

Corners are always severely scuffed.

RE: FOXY.co.uk Positive Feedback (Happy Customer)

Quote:
Hi all,

After ordering £90 worth of items from Foxy, I decided to Google and read the reviews. I was horrified as you can imagine. The items were ordered as a 40th birthday gift and as I am a single mum with very little in the financial dept…this kind of money was by no means money that could be squandered.

Having read the reviews my first action was to contact Foxy to gain reassurance. They answered my e-mails and talked me through any problems they or I faced via a phone call. I waited longer than I initially anticipated but I can't fault their customer care.

Unfortunately I see that some of you have had difficulties with Foxy and I hope that they are resolved for you.

As I am here to add a review it seems only fair to add some positive feedback too.

I am happy with their service and as far as the lateness regarding birthday treats .they were delivered safely and looked upon as having birthday gifts running the course of two weeks rather than just one day.

We have already had loads of enjoyment with the Dvd's and will be ordering more from Foxy.

Thank you Foxy and best of luck with sorting out these issues with other customers, I am sure it's stressful for all concerned.

A new user praising Foxy? You`ll have to forgive us if we are a little sceptical that you would register a new account here with the sole intent of praising them. I hope you are a genuinely happy customer and not a foxy stooge.

RE: The best bargain you`ve ever found on this site - list

loads over the years, but i have to say the last six-to-twelve months have been very poor indeed! It seems there are no bargains out there anymore?

Most deals are posted on hotdeals now. Everyone is migrating over there. There are too many banners and animated gifs on this site but I still pop in every now and then.

Best deal I got from this site is the £100 3mp kodak camera, managed to resell it on ebay for £175 and picked up an even better 4mp kodak for less than £20.

RE: CD Wow really slow service

Looks like these guys may be getting ready to do a `DVD Soon` Special.

Take as many orders and payments as they can and then declare bankrupcy. I had one final order from dvdsoon that was alleged to have been sent out but never was just before they went under.

It looks they are keeping their site open for orders but not dispatching anything.

RE: CD Wow really slow service

I am not going to order anyting from these guys until they sort themselves out.

They need to pay that fine sharpish and sort out all their supplier problems.

RE: CD Wow really slow service

Tried to cancel my order, no reply and it has been 4 days!

CD Wow are getting really silly now. It was was a stupid move for them to break the law.

How soon will they declare bankrupcy to avoid paying the fine and then reappear as a new company like what most of the other companies do.

RE: CD Wow really slow service

Been close to 2 months now for my order.

They really have become a bit of joke now, have other suppliers really done the dirty on them?

RE: Softuk.com have reduced all their xbox 360 and pc prices free delivery mufc001

I`ve only ever heard of this outfit on this site so they are clearly not promoting themselves very well.

You might get more traffic if you advertise on MSE or Hotdeals.

RE: SVP Buyers` Club 99p Delivery

Still trying to get these clowns to sort out a bad batch of media I got from them. They are denying it`s the discs and are trying to blame my dvd writer firmware which is utter tosh.

RE: CD Wow really slow service

Sadly cdwow are utter crap now. My order has been held for over 5 weeks. No reply to emails.

Only reason I have not issued a chargeback is because I used my £2.00 voucher.

RE: SVP*

SVP sold me a bad batch of discs and they refused to refund me. I bought 100 titaniums from them which have scratches all over them.

I`m disgusted that they don`t seem to care even though I have bought hundreds of pounds from them.

RE: 101cd.com - when did that happen

At first they were called Under18, when their reputation got bad they renamed themselves to Splash. Splash went bankrupt and lost a lot of their customers money.

New site called Blah appears which has a very similar web design to Splash and operated from same location.

101cd are infamous for their continuous pricing cock ups. Many believe they do it on purpose to bring traffic to their site. Google `101cd misprice` and there are hundreds of examples.

RE: Las Vegas - Series 1 (Six Discs) Under Nine Quid!

101CD

One word `CRAP`. Infamous for their luring of new customers via pricing errors.

RE: MagicFreebies? maybe not!

You should post your freebies on Hotdeals and MSE. You`ll get a lot more visitors to your site.

Added your site onto my favourites. Keep up the good work, people who dislike your links should not click on your threads. There are a lot of naff threads on this site and I certainly do not waste my time clicking on them.

RE: Stargate SG1 Season 8 £6.97!

I managed to get two, one for me and one for my work colleague who is the biggest SG nut I know.

RE: Sainsburys Verbatim blank media 1/2 price in store

Big Pockets are a bit pricey when it comes to postage costs. They charge £5.75 for postage and packing.

Worst culprit for postage costs is ukdvdr who charge £6.00 plus they add VAT on top of that which makes it a total of over £7.00!

Better off waiting for cheap postage discount days.

RE: dvd pacific---order problem

The DVD I ordered was listed as In Stock when I ordered.

I cancelled the order today and will order it from Amazon.com instead who have it for less. Amazon also pack their box sets better so less likely to arrived damaged. ;)

RE: How can I email Play?

Play have a terrible customer service.

If you have any queries with your order they insist you return the item even if it is something minor like a missing booklet.

RE: dvd pacific---order problem

I placed an order with these guys in October, and the dvd conveniently went out of stock 2 days after I placed my order. If I do not receive it by Christmas I will cancel.

Not the most accurate stock listings.

RE: Babylon 5: TheComplete Universe £80.97

I got the super tin one for about 60 quid in January. Still haven`t watched any of it yet.
