RE: have i got a misselling case for compensation

it is a renault megane 1.5 dci 106 hp diamonique 14000 on the clock .its not about compensation its about paying a fair price for the product offered to you . if the car was used by a vicar or someone just driving local they would have made a point of telling me this .people generally rent cars for long journeys ,it might have had 20-30 different drivers might not have mind you but that would have been my choice to decide .my resale value could well be affected ,because there is a stigma about it being a rental car .and finally the salesman thinks its ok to tell me its registered to renault when its actually reg to europcar .if 10 people went to by a car and was told it was renault reg they might buy it but how many people would have bought it on being told it was reg to europcar not many i dont think unless there was a lower price to tempt them .bottom line is the salesman lied

have i got a misselling case for compensation

went and bought a secondhand car from a renault franchise .liked the car asked sales man who owned it he said it had been registered to renault and most probably used by one of their managers they do this to keep thier sales figures up so i bought the car for 12k when i recieved the log book a couple of weeks later it said that eurocar had been the registered oweners .when i rang up to query this they told me yes but europecar is a subsiduary of renault so its ok .i told them im not happy because 1 i might have not bought the car if the proper info was given to me and 2 if i had bought it i would not have paid that price for it .have i got a case and whats the best way forward .my wife was with me at the time so its not his word against mine i got a witness

RE: NEW YORK - Who`s Been - Recommendations Please!!

first u luckey bugger second to go up the empire state building u need to queue for tickets then queue for the lift so buy your tickets online its www.esb.com i think it will save u a 2hour queue for tickets . statue of liberty is a must but since 9/11 they stopped people going inside the statue they have since relented but you will need a pass to go in they are free u can get one when u buy your ticket but they only allow so many in so go to www.batterypark.com and u can get one there if u miss the time on the ticket u have not lost any money or u can go to the souviner shop on the island explain to the guy on the till u did not know about the pass and u have travelled thousands of miles and it will be the highlight of your holiday grovel grovel grovel he has a few passes for people like us .last of all when u go to ground zero look at it turn around 180 degrees and u will see a store called 21st centuary it is full of cheap designer stuff u will have to rummage but theres bargains to be had there

RE: going to new york, las vegas, boston... in september `what must i see/do?`

buy your tickets for the empire state building online otherwise you will have to queue for tickets which can take up to 2 hrs and thats before you queue for the lift to take you up top believe me this will save you big time . the statue of liberty has reopened to go inside it (closed because of 9/11 ) but you will need a pass to go in these are free you must have one however. these passes are timed so look at your holiday and try to time it you can get a pass off their web site. if this fails there is a gift shop on the island go there and ask the person at the till for one saying something like this is why we came to ny and didnt realise about the passes a friend in work done it and she was given 4 passes so it pays to ask. in vegas there is plenty of free transport up and down the strip avoid taxis if poss last of all macys do a visitors discount card you can get one at customer services but i emailed them direct and had one through the post 12% off
