RE: Aldi medion price differences

They have always been £99.99 in the two local stores to me - Hyde and Ashton-u-Lyne and last time I went in the Ashton store they had stacks of them. Everyone was going mad for the TV`s and leaving the DVD players.

RE: Wharfedale upgrade....

I have a Wharfedale - how did you get Tesco to updgrade it? do they all need upgrading or just older ones.

I have seen something on here about them not playing Jaws R2 but mine plays it ok.

RE: Gladiator disk 2 returns

Hi,

I had the same problem with My Wharfedale, I sent my disc 2 back just after Christmas and a new one arrived about 2 weeks later. It works just fine too.

Wharfedale 750 - should I keep it?

I just got a Wharfedale 750 for X-mas, and have had problems playing Gladiator disc 2 (region 2). Having looked on the net there are various reasons given for this.

Dodgy disc or incompatiblity with this player.

Tesco`s passed me to Wharfedale who state that the problem is with the disc, they advised me to return it to a marketing company (I have the address if anyone needs it).

Im pretty new to DVD so I dont really know much about these imcompatability problems but I am concerned that I now have a DVD player which may not play other film in the future. Should I keep the wharfedale and accept that I will need to upgrade in the future anyway or take it back and get a refund and buy something else? If I do this what should I buy?.

Any advice would be much appreciated
