RE: Wharfedale 750S - Hack appears not to work
Steve,
Dont buy the Wharfedale 750s. I had problems with my original 750, took it back to Tescos and swapped it for a new 750s in Nov, hacked it on to multi-region and i still had lots of problems with it ( well documented on various dvd sites ). Region 2 will play fine, but region 1 stuff is not very good eg. Toy Story 2 region 1 has sound problems, other region 1 stuff was playing too slowly ( like slow motion etc). Anyhow, the 750s has met with a grizzly end and i now have an Aiwa 370 and it rocks in a big way ( better picture, better sound, but most importantly it plays ALL my
dvds perfectly + it was only £20 more from Comet.
Do yourself a BIG favour and get the Aiwa, most of the guys on this site
will back me up on this one.
RE: For all people having trouble with the AIWA 370 hack, it does WORK.
Keep trying Phil,
I bought a 370 from Comet today and the hack works a treat.
Follow the instructions in multi-region hacks/remote hackable section
of this web site. Make sure you leave the cd tray open with no dvd as
you punch the buttons, the Lcd will ask you for a code ( i used 0 for
multi-region ), everything plays superbly now, region 1/ region 2 etc.
Gained further satisfaction by launching my Wharfdale 750s into my back garden where it now resides in the snowy landscape.
Cheers to JIMBO for the great recommendation + hack, nice one mate,
dvd has NEVER been so much fun :-)
