RE: Domain name purchase questions
Hi,
I use this for £16.99 a year (Domain name extra)
http://www.net4now.com/isp_news/news_article.asp?News_ID=2847
I run a small site aand a forum on it and it performs well for the price. I have not found it offline which is more than I can say to about pipex who empty my bank account of far more than the above a month!
In hosting you normally get what you pay for. However the QIQ hosting is an excellant package to start with due to the amount of free software etc you get with it. The features it has are outstanding for the price.
Best regards
Baz
RE: Sat Nav on mobile phone problems (tomtom mobile)
Hi,
Make sure you do it outside. GPS wont work indoors, even beside a window. Make sure the GPS reciever is fully charged, and even then I would connect the car charger.
Sometimes you need to rename the GPS receiver Tom Tom Gps or something like that.
I use a Nokia 6600, tom tom 5 and a cheap Ebay reciever no problems. When I switch it on, I need to delete the GPS reciever and make a new Bluetooth connection ocassional if it wont pick the Satelite up.
Best regards

RE: Keep getting .exe errors?
Hi,
The one I thought of straight away was Ezula. Which which I found yesterday evening on my Dads machines. I know this one does cause random exe errors.
I am spending all tomorrow hunting for Spyware. I should run a book, on how many Shopping search bars I will find!
Best regards
Barry
RE: Keep getting .exe errors?
Hi,
Exe errors that I have come across normally result because a program has had files removed. My Network has 25 computers running Windows 2000. Normally when I get an exception error it is caused by search bars, or scumware linked to Kazaa or similar.
However I am aware printers, Scanners, Software can all cause this type of errors. You need to trace whats causing the problem before reinstalling.
I do normally post my website address in my signature. This reply was ment as an offer of help. Sorry if it offended...
Best Regards
Barry
RE: Keep getting .exe errors?
Hi,
On the computers I look after at work. 9 times out of 10 exe errors are caused by Spyware.
Try downloading and running http://www.lavasoftusa.com/support/download/
If you can list the exe errors, I can help you more.
Best Regards
