RE: SKY + (Existing customers)

Is it possible to get any sort of deal without threatening to leave? I want my parents to get sky+, but i can see this backfiring and my mum getting carried away and cancelling it completely as she doesnt want sky anyway!

RE: Some excellent deals at the Aussie sites

@ Brian

Thanks for that, thats a usefull site
Looks like the UK R2 Heat SE is also R4 and R5 encoded, doesnt say anything about the Aussie R4 but i would think they`d use the same discs across them three regions.

RE: Some excellent deals at the Aussie sites

Strictly speaking, yes you`re right. But...

i know they`re sold as dual region, but the ones ive got are labeled and presented as australian region 4 releases. Eg. my copy of the Fugitive has `region 4` printed on the disc, but plays fine in my R2 player. The same goes for my Scrubs season1 disc. It seems a bit hit and miss, but underneath the packaging some region 4 releases are really R2+4. I guess studios do it to save the trouble of encoding for two separate regions, but they dont advertise the fact on the packaging.

RE: Some excellent deals at the Aussie sites

Australia... thats region 4 right? Do they play on R2 players? I know some of them do as i got some from CDWOW. Has anyone got Heat SE R4 who could check on a R2 player?!

Thanks

Cancelled mine today after waiting a week and being unable to find anything out thanks to crap customer service. Wouldnt be surprised if OSPS cocked that up too and it arrives later this wk. After some of the things ive heard im glad i wont have to worry about getting cashback later this year.

Out of interest, is there anyone who ordered this last week who hasnt heard anything yet? I ordered on tues but have only had the `awaiting connection to network` update on the order tracking. Have called customer service twice and emailed but i think i was fobbed off, cant get anyone to tell me about my particular order.

RE: BA: SE K750i on Vodafone CrossNet 200 (12m) - minimum term cost of £110 (after cashback)

Ive ordered the k750 from onestop
when i track my order this is what i see:

K750I CPW ERI Sony Ericsson K750i Handset £0.00 £0.00
T28 CC Ericsson Car Charger £0.00 £0.00
VSC CPW Vodafone Sim Card £0.00 £0.00
Free gift 3 months half price rental(from network) £0.00 £0.00

Notice 3 months half price rental. I REALLY hope theyre not gonna claim a typo on the front page or something. 3 months half price would be a lot more believeable than 8 months free though
