RE: Setup Menu Language problem?

Hi Tony. No need to take the screenshots but thanks anyway. Looks like other people with this problem have reported that it has put itself right after a while (either for no reason, or by trial and error playing around with different settings).

Guess I`ll just bide my time for now and wait to see what happens.

Cheers,

Ian

RE: Setup Menu Language problem?

hmmmmmmmm............. I was hoping tonyk100 might drop by - he seems to have the OSD language setting in his "general setup menu" & I was wondering if he had to do anything to get it to show.

Helloooooo Tony - are you there?

RE: Setup Menu Language problem?

Thanks for your reply, Meeky.
Just out of curiosity, how many options do you have in your "general setup" menu: 4 or 5 ? (ie does it show the OSD language setting?)

Cheers,

Ian

RE: Skyworth 3650 Language Problem

Hey fjh123, did you (or anyone else apart from Rob J) manage to resolve this problem?

I have also queried this in another thread here

Hi, I`m a newbie and have just stumbled across this forum because I too have got the same problem with my Skyworth OSD language setting and have been searching for a solution.

I do have the instruction manual so I can see what the menu options should say in English to navigate my way around. The problem however is that the OSD language setting is not showing up in the "general setup" menu.

As you rightly say, Tony, when you first enter setup you are automatically at the first menu which is "general setup page" and if you go down to the third option you SHOULD get to the OSD language setting. In the manual, it specifies the 5 options within "general setup" with the OSD language as the third option down, but it also shows an image representing a screenshot which only shows four options (ie the OSD option is missing) which is what I`m getting (ie only four options) - see here :
www.divxplayers.co.uk/reviews/sky3650/images/sky3650_menu1_big.jpg

So my question is: "IS THERE SOMETHING I NEED TO DO TO GET THE OSD LANGUAGE SETTING OPTION TO APPEAR IN THE ABOVE MENU?"

From reading other threads, I see that I am not alone with this problem, and "robj1969" managed to solve it by simply turning off at the mains for a while then switching back on. Looks like the same did not work for "fjh123" and I don`t know if Scott "Meeky" managed to sort out his problem above with your help, Tony.

If anybody can offer any help I`d be most grateful. Skyworth support looks to be non-existent, so my only other option would be to take it back to WHS for a refund - but to be honest, I`m otherwise quite happy with the machine and don`t know if I`d be able to buy something similar for 30 quid!
