RE: Website Advertising advice needed

Thanks for the replies, I dont think this is the wrong thing to do as early experiments have proven sucsessful and 4 years working for the biggest online retailer helps.

It is a rock and metal merchandise store joined with a smoking paraphanalia store. I can give you the address by pm as I dont want to seem like i am trying to plug it here.

Website Advertising advice needed

Hi,

Just recently ventured into the world of self employment and have opened an online shop.
I was wondering, what is the best way to advertise the site online and ensure google can find it etc?

I have looked at companies who do this all for you etc but it is a very expensive operation.

Any advice?

Steve

RE: In this day and age

Hope you dont mind me stucking my tuppence worth in here.

I know exactly what this guy is going through and I can tell you that it isnt very nice. I suspect if he has doubts regarding her motives on going out, then there is probably a bit of justified suspicion. I watched an ex of mine change from being a very quiet person with very little wish to go out etc to someone who was extremly outgoing, flirtatious and often showed little regard for my feelings.

This was a long time ago and looking back I realize that it was more her background and the fact that she was too shy to be the person she wanted to be at that stage in her life. Age often has a bearing on these sorts of things-both mean and women, at some stage start thinking they should start doing the things that up to then they have ignored.

Women are usually the most affected by this in my opinion. For whatever reason. Sometimes it is their past that prevents them from having an active social life-a dominating boyfriend say. Or perhaps they have never had a friend that they are able to be comfortable aroud and when they meet someone who shares the same intersts, someone they can relate to, things can often change and it is hard for the man involved to watch.

If you add the fact that the marriage has problems then this can be a pretty unbearable situation and can do more damage than a fast break up of the relationship.

My best advice, is to talk to her about how you are feeling and see if you can both address eachothers fears and concerns. Believe me- if you rant at her about going out etc she will only do it more often and the problem will escalate. Address the problem in such a way that is reasonable, explain that you do trust her and that you only worry due to the current state of the relationship.

RE: Online dating?

Hi,

Thought I would tell you of my experience with online dating. Like many, I was p***ed off being single and the appeal of one night stands had worn off. I decided to take a serious look at some personals on yahoo. Found the section for my region and saw someone that caught my eye, was so taken by the ad that I signed up there and then and paid £15 for my membership. Started corresponding with the girl I had seen on the site and things went well. We met a week later and we have been together nearly a year and are getting married late this year. Strange to think, I met my perfect person on an internet site but thats how it happened.

Dont be put off, have a go and see what happens. My advice is to sign up to a good personals site like yahoo and pay the membership.
