Can anyone let me know if RCE encoded discs play in the above machine as there are a couple out now I would like to try.

FM- Macrovision on Hitachi DV-P305E

I use the temporary hack using a one for all 5.
Any idea on how to get rid of macrovision using this method??

Dela, you are a genius !!!

I have a one for all 7550 and this hack works using that as well !!!

The key to using this hack seems to be pressing the asigned key when load appears on the front display. Adjust then appears, pop in your region 1 disc and away it goes !!
Who cares if it isn`t permanent, once you have programmed your remote one press of the correct key sorts it out !
Any news on if this change stops working after a certain number of times ? I suppose a cold start would sort that out anyway ?

Don`t panic !!

There are a few of us out there that this hack won`t work for with the same model. You`re pressing the correct repeat button, but like mine your machine could well have an older version of firmware in it.
Our freind Mike G is on the case, just keep checking back and hopefully all should be revealed soon.
PS Don`t bother wasting your money on an all in one remote like I did because that doesn`t work either!!!

Any news yet on newer firmware version on the above player, which cannot be hacked with the remote or a One for all???

Got a One for all URC7550, still does not work, have tried it your way but still no luck. At least it turns my hi-fi on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have tried everything!!
After cold starting, I select the language ( I have tried the codes straight from the language screen as well)
I have tried all the different region codes, each after doing another cold start. What else can I try?

Please help this is driving me mad, have I got the only player in the world that can`t be hacked???

Help!! Hitachi DV-P305e.

I`ve tried everything to get the Thomson hack to work. It just won`t happen for me. As anyone got the definative guide to what I should be doing??
After powering up my player and pressing stop and play to cold start, what should I do then? Turn off or carry on ?
This is driving me nuts, someone please help!!
