Am I the only one who shudders at the thought of them then?

I ordered something over two months ago, complained when it hadn`t been shipped two weeks later, got an unfriendly phone call in response and suddenly the site indicated it had been shipped a week previously - on a day the guy had just told me they didn`t work! Not of course that the item ever turned up.

Nor, apparently, do DVDImport have any responsiblity for items lost or damaged when sent via international surface mail. Funny though that I`ve ordered over a hundred such items from other companies in the last couple of years and this is the only package to not turn up. I wonder if they have responsibility for not sending things out in the first place and stealing my money instead. :(

Am I Unreasonable? (DVDImport)

I placed an order with DVDImport on the 2nd of August for an item that was showing as in stock. I didn`t hear anything more from them, and the status of the order remained as pending, so I emailed them last friday to check when they were sending it out. Still nothing so I tried again today. To my surprise I got a phone call from them about half an hour ago (8:30pm) - to paraphrase / sum up:

My order hadn`t been dispatched yet because whilst it was in stock, it was stocked in their main warehourse which is six hours away. Montreal is a big place, about 100,000 km. I hadn`t got a reply to my previous email because it isn`t fair to expect people to work over the weekend [fair point btw - but i don`t see why they couldn`t contact me monday]. "Why are english people always like this?"

I`ve just logged into my account and now the order shows as shipped (apparently it was shipped on sunday - the weekend) which it didn`t two hours ago.

Perhaps I`m being unfair here. I do appreciate that they took the trouble to call me (from Canada) but I don`t appreciate the delay or the comments. Anyone want to chip in here? I`ll update this, btw, when and if I get the dvd.
