Netgear DG834GT - avoid like the plague

I bought this wireless modem router 16 months ago - after 8 months all the lights went out. After a very painful 45 mins to India I finally got the go ahead to send the unit back for a new one. Guess what after 8 months it has gone wrong again and another 45 painful minutes to India they have agreed to swap it again - of course 45 mins on a National phone number as well >:(

The person I was talking to thought Northamptonshire was a City!

This time I thought I would check the power supply and instead of it pushing out 12V DC as it is meant to it is kicking out 16.7V DC so I guess it has cooked the unit!

I agree the LUB was a good idea as were a few more useful buy items but was not successful on any LUB - closest was 1 away :(

I did have a bit of a surprise yesterday when tidying up my study - a carrier back full of flavoured kit kats - hidden from the children to stop them pigging out! so well hidden I forgot about them :)

I did not win much by bidding as the server problems Nestle had impacted me severely

If there is a KK2007 I am not sure I will bother

I gave it a whirl and won £40 on roulette when I got back to £35 I withdrew the cash - didn`t read the small print though - Roulette doesn`t count as a bet so money was returned. So I had a quick play on the cyber slotz to gamble my original £10 - what a bit of luck I won £200 this time - haven`t got the cash in the bank yet but assuming they don`t come up with another limitation - Thanks OP :) :) and thanks FHM for giving me the money in the first place ;)

Sainsburys are selling a 9" 2 speed oscillating Desk Fan for £6.97 or a 12" 3 speed oscillating Desk Fan for £9.99

I haven`t seen a 9" cheaper and it works really well. 8)

turn on player and wait for the no disc sign to disappear, then press the subtitle button and press the following,57538 and then you should see 2 appear in top left of screen, press 9(multi-region)
and press the subtitle button again. hey presto! all done enjoy.

Yes that`s right Nestle had 3 DVDs on at exactly the same time and the 5 min one went for over 13k points

That boosted the points for them!
