RE: help wanted

Yeah this will definitely be an NTSC issue. If you have discs from the US, canada or Japan they`ll be NTSC color system (we use PAL). You might be able to change the output in the video setup on the player, or if you;re using SCART your TV might do the conversion for you.

Reply if you;re still having problems

RE: Any ideas on the dvd-r recorders?

Check out the LiteOn LVW5005. I think LiteOn is part of the JVC group or at least uses the same mechanism. This recorder will burn to DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+R and DVD+RW as well as CD &VCD. It also has DV-input so your digital camcorder images can go straight to digital DVD.

A friend of mine bought his from DVDWorld (www.dvdworld.co.uk) and he loves it.

RE: lite-on lvw5005

I`ve heard good things about it too. A friend of mine bought one last week from DVDworld (www.dvdworld.co.uk) and he loves it to death. I think he said they were about the cheapest of the reputable companies who had it.
