RE: BUBBA HO-TEP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (finally getting a DVD release)

I agree with everything you say in that post Chewie. I thought it was virtually faultless and would definatley put it in my top 5 favourite films of all time.
Extras are also great. The Elvis commentary is fantastic, full marks there to Bruce. Staying in character must have been hard enough, but he also manages to be funny and informative too!

RE: recomended supernatral/ghost dvd movies

Id definatley recommend High Plains Drifter - its one of my 3 favourite films of all time.
Dead of Night(1945) is also very creepy!

RE: Wrestlemania XX - anyone watch it? *spoliers*

Vince was executive producer on the Scorpion King as well!

I thought Mania 20 was a bit of a letdown too. It just felt like a `normal` ppv to me. Why did they not hold it where Mania 19 was? That would have made it feel like the special event that it was meant to be.
Brock vs Goldberg was pants! It should have been a tension filled action packed "slobberknocker" - to quote Jr. To be honest for the first 5 minutes I thought they were both gonna just decide to break character, shake hands and walk out - seeing as it was meant to be boths last match. It was awful just watching them stand there and do nothing.
I was pleased Cena beat the Fat Show. He has become really entertaining to watch over the last year and has had some good matches.

does it have the hell in a cell match with the undertaker?

Yes! Theres tons of entertaining matches on there too. (Its a 2 disc set). Theres also an entertaining Texas Death Match with The Sandman who gets knocked absolutley senseless and doesn`t know what hes doing!
One of the many extras is Micks debut in the wwf as "Jack" Foley in a tag team match against the British Bulldogs. He gets slaughtered very quickly...

RE: A Thread for Wrestling fans

I bought the new Mick Foley Dvd yesterday. Very entertaining and it has Raven and the Sandman on it in matches with Cactus Jack (obviously!)

RE: A Thread for Wrestling fans

I think its everything EXCEPT WWE - Jananese, NWA- TNA, Ring of Honour, CZW, FWA and loads of vintage stuff from 70s and 80s
And to be honest I am looking forward in a way to seeing Haystacks and Daddy again for a bit of nostalgia, its just their matches were so cr*p!

A Thread for Wrestling fans

Is anyone looking forward to Wrestlemania XX and the launch of the Wrestling Channel the day after?
They`ve got the rights to show the old World of Sport wrestling shows so unfortunatley we`ll be seeing Big Daddy and Giant Haystacks again! :/

RE: best and worst dvd audio commentry?

I think Bruce Campbell is the king of commentrys. Robert Englund comes a close second though - any commentary involving him is always entertaining.
All the ones on the Futurama boxsets are great too thanks to John Dimaggio and Billy West who are hilarious

RE: I have a weird taste in films (so my mates say) but......

I`m sure it is!
Bad Taste is another cracker - has PJ ever really done a bad film?. Its got some great quotes in it! My favourite is " I`m a dereck....derecks DONT RUN!"
Have you ever seen GOOD TASTE - The making of Bad Taste. Thats very interesting.

Favourite dvd extra?

Has anyone got a favourite dvd extra that they love watching/ listening to?

Mine is Bruce Campbells audio commentary on the first EVIL DEAD disc. The guy can talk like theres no tomorrow and he is continuously entertaining for 90 mins.

RE: GOOD SHOWS BEING CANCELLED!! (i`m sick of it!)

Anyone used to watch Family Guy? This animated comedy was just as funny as The Simpsons and was cancelled by Fox a few years ago. I`ve read recently that now they (FOX) have decided that they might bring it back because its made millions for them since in DVD and video sales! :)

You never know, Angel and Buffy might reurn in a few years time too. Especially if that total keeps going up

I LOVE Meet the Feebles. What a great film! I was gobsmacked when PJ mentioned it in his acceptance speech for best film at the Oscars. :D

RE: I have a weird taste in films (so my mates say) but......

Hi RobBut, love your taste in movies. I like them too, especially Cannibal Holocaust which is one of my favourites. (Without it I bet we wouldnt have had The Blair Witch Project)
Have you seen Cannibal Ferox. I`ll never forget the looks on my friends faces when I was describing scenes from that to them!

RE: The Fellowship Vs The Towers Vs The King (Extended or not) - your favourites.

I love all three films but if I HAD to put them in some sort of order I would say:

1. The Two Towers (either version)
2. The Return of the KIng(same)
3. The Fellowship of the Ring (same again)

RE: BUBBA HO-TEP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (finally getting a DVD release)

I can`t wait to see this film either. The trailer looks hilarious and I agree Burce Campbell is the coolest actor on the face of the earth.
Has anyone here read his autobiography? Comes highly recommended. :)
