can i just make sure that i have made my question clear.
i get brilliant quality using the tv scart output of the sky+ box
I get average quality using the vcr scart output of the sky+ box

I have eliminated the possibility of a dodgy cable and am now left with the possibility of the sky+ box being knackered OR is this normal.

Wonder if anyone else is experienceing following problems whereby sky+ vcr scart output goes into dvdr and picture is not good. if i use tv scart output of sky+ all is fine and dandy. do i have a dodgy sky+ box or is this normal?

philips dvdr80 - firmware upgrade and multi-region hack

Hi
I purchased a Philips DVDR80 recently and store kindly performed a `remote-control` hack to enable multi-region. I now want to apply the latest firmware upgrade from Philips and am concerned it may overwrite the hack or even worse damage the machine.
Has anyone thoughts or experience on this matter?
