RE: Wharfdale and SVCD`s - help !

Mine`s the 750 (without the "S", the one with the DTS logo on the front (3rd edition I think))
Cheers

RE: Wharfdale and SVCD`s - help !

I also have the same problem (albeit a different SVCD!)
It plays about the first 2 seconds and then pauses itself,
I click play and it only progresses 1 frame,
Anyone know of a way to play SVCD`s on the Wharf??????
Cheers

RE: NTL users and WINDOWS XP

we have our pC`s networked, but use internet connection sharing,
the primary PC has firewall, anti virus ect, so all is fine here,
Firewall blocks any scanning and easily conigured.
Anyway, enjoy, Ratking

RE: NTL users and WINDOWS XP

You don`t even need to go to al that trouble, just use microsoft internet connection sharing, set all network cards IP to OPTAIN IP AUTOMATTICALY, and it`s sorted,
OR just plug the cat 5 cable from the modem into your hub!

RE: NTL users and WINDOWS XP

Hi all,
NTL is sweet, 512k download, 128k upload,
sure, 128 sucks a bit, but hey, how much uploading do most of you do??
Service seems very reliable, did go down for 2 hours the other week, but a quick (yeah right, more like 75 min free call to NTL service line) resolved the problem, it was their server being upgraded,
If it`s down for any length of time (ie. more than a day) (only ever happened once) they will refund some of the monthly cost,
The modem can be bought or loaned, it was £5 per month for loan or £150 to buy, I`ve gone for loan, so I can upgrade if needed, cost per month is £20 flat rate, doesn`t use the phone, so that`s nice and free all the time, just have to have phone and basic tv package from NTL, cost about £10 per month, so about the same as BT for the phone, if you get the option of USB or ethernet modem, I`d say go for ethernet, but you must have a spare network card in your machine. Set-up is quick and easy, Any further questions, let me know, Regards, Ratking

RE: NTL users and WINDOWS XP

I use XP and NTL cable modem, no proplems whatsoever,
we even have it networked so 3 of us share the connection, allowing all of us to be online/play games all at once, and never suffered problems.
Hope this helps,
It`s true that NTL don`t support XP or shared PC`s using one cable modem,
but if you need any help, yell.

RE: JURASSIC PARK DTS OR D.D. R1 OR R2

I have to disagree, I have seen R2 version DTS! yes, but they don`t do it in a box set with JP2, which you can also get R2 DTS,
Just thought you would like to know.

Wish to take Yamaha AV-Reciver & Wharfedale DVD to Canada

Can any one help me please, I have a Yamaha 596RDS amp + NS-P300 speaker set & Wharfedale 350 (it`s the one with DTS), and I wish to take them to Canada with me when I move in about 2 months time. Does anyone know if it`s easy to transform the power supply from 240v down to 110v, or would it be easier to sell it here and buy new stuff there, (don`t want to really as it`s quite new!). Thanks
