RE: Mico 311. - Help please

Hi,
I couldn`t get anywhere so I connected the Mico straight into a TV (no Sky box).
It went through its installation. When that finished, I took it back downstairs, plugged the scart into the top scart connection in the Mico and the other end into the sat box (as shown in the instructions). However, problem is back to the same one I had last night - it reads "No Signal". I`ve tried it on the AV buttons and tried clicking the monitor button on the remote. Still "No Signal". Just don`t know what to do next. No doubt, it`s going to be something either simple or straightforward to someone else, but whatever it is it just escapes me.
What should I do? :(

Hi, thanks so much for responding to my cry for help.
However, I don`t understand exactly what you mean by
Recorder in initial installation mode: Switch on the TV, switch over to the DVD recorder socket"
switch what over to the DVD recorder?

Mico 311. - Help please

:/ Yesterday, I unplugged my machine from the satelite box to use it elsewhere. When I plugged it back in, it showed messages like channel, etc but wouldn`t record. Message was "no signal". Today I resorted to unplugging it and holding down the power key, only message I get now is "TV ON?". I`ve pushed and pulled abd swapped scart plugs, but still showing "TV ON?". Anyone got any ideas. Yakumo DVD Master XL2 - only playing in black and white

Can anyone offer any ideas on why my Yakumo has stopped showing DVDs
in colour and now only plays black and white? :/
Until now I`ve been really happy with it. Don`t know what is wrong and the manual
doesn`t offer any info.

What can I say....... I am mortified.
Thank you for saving me the even greater public humiliation of standing in Sainsburys with my "I`m not happy face - >:( " only to be left feeling an even bigger twit than I feel right now.

Hi Rassilon63,
Well, I went back over the messages and finally got it to do something after I added a scart between the TV and the DVD.....
Everything seemed to be going well as it searched and found channels. Then came a message telling me to exit by pressing "system". Yippee I thought, reached for the remote only to discover that the whole bottom panel of function buttons was missing!!!!
Is it me? Hadn`t occurred to me to compare the picture of the remote with the remote itself, just assumed the right remote would be in the box >:(
So, tomorrow I will have to go back to Sainsbury. Hopefully, they will have a replacement, but with the way things are going so far, I`m not feeling optimistic.
Maybe this is just one of the quality control problems mentioned in the other thread.

Thanks for your message. I read the instructions (!). Turned the TV off, plugged in the DVD. First message was "WAIT", followed by "TV ONP" then nothing.
Really disappointed that I cant seem to get past turning it on

MICO R311 - Any help greatfully appreciated !!!

I`ve just bought a Mico R311 - ( literally "just bought", it`s still downstairs in its box). This is my first DVD and I`m not great at setting things up so, before I start, does anyone have any tips they can pass on?
Guess I better go open the box and start looking at the instructions so that any tips will make some sense to me.
