:( Be very careful with DVD Region X as it will not work with all PS2`s, in most cases an upgrade is required from the web for newer machines the newer the PS2 the lass chance there is of Region X working. E-mails to Datel support are not answered

I found the above site I must admit it seemed odd as 1 of the 2 files is a music file, be prepared for a long download especially if you don't have broadband. You should also be aware that if it goes wrong it's more than possible the player wont work, that said I have downloaded and used the above files, still don't know what the first file is for but it worked. Have now played Region 1 and Region 2 DVD and they are fine, MP3 and CDR/RW disks still play ok. SVCD disks won't play but they didn't before anyway. The Procedure takes about 10Min this is longer than indicated on the download site. It is also important not to interrupt the procedure as prior to reprogramming the old program is erased
