RE: 14" TV/DVD Combi for under £100

Just thought I`d give my thumbs up for the Lodos too. Plays absolutely everything I`ve thrown at it.

Plays DVD-R`s that none of my others even recognize.

Excellent buy for £99....

RE: 24 Hour sale on selected items at SVP (Cheap DVD-R`s and printable CDR`s)

quite...If it isn`t a good deal then all I can say is don`t buy it...

Even if you did own the company (and I do beleive you don`t) a bargain is a bargain so the price does the talking and that is what all this forum is about....

RE: Coffe for Uno...

indeed you can.....chekc out http://www.easypods.co.uk they offer an adapter which means you can use most coffee pods...

As for discontinued I wouldn`t think so as they`ve only been out a short while but you never know.

Price wise the pods work out around 12p per cup which isn`t much more then buying pre-ground coffee.

I drink a lot of coffee and must say the 6 free pods that come with the machine taste great.

From machine to cup in 20 seconds...

Time is money so they say.

RE: Aldi DVD burner £79.99 & other stuff

Thanks for beiong selfless. Personally I would have got mine first then started the thread but that`s me all over...self self self.

Great post though...but if it helps check out http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/products/index.html?action=c2hvd19wcm9kdWN0X292ZXJ2aWV3&product_uid=49299

Not quite as cheap but pretty good...

RE: Too bloody good to miss - Sky+ for a Ton!!!!

Strange I was with Telewest for 9 years and have just cancelled to go to Sky. Sick and tired of poor service, lack of information, disrupted signal (no Cable on New Years day !), loss of picture and sound overcharging for second box, recharging connection fee to upgrade to Digital, second rate decoders..Broadband is great though but that`s because it`s a seperate company....Anyway glad someone is happy.

RE: Coffe for Uno...

I didn`t mention that it`s only for my desk at work...Obviously I wouldn`t dream of using such a device at home...The Java pods I bought sure beat the instant variety my company offers.

Anyway like it or not £59 to £20 is a bargain and that is what this forum is about.

Stick to your cafetierre and keep your £20 - I don`t really care.

RE: Coffe for Uno...

and what do you do with the grounds when you`ve finished... spend another couple of minutes rinsing them out....

Time is so precious.....

RE: Coffe for Uno...

Well it uses a pump so the taste is better. The pods it uses mean you don`t have to grind beans and makes it a doddle to keep clean. No coffee grounds all over the place.

You can make a single cup at a time so don`t have to make a full filter and have it going stale.

Works out slightly more then using a cafetierre and ground coffee but much much less hassle.

I will let you know what the taste is like.

Coffe for Uno...

Just been to get the Russell Hobbs Uno:Uno coffee maker.

Was after one before christmas but everywhere seemed to sell out. Noticed Currys online had them for half price (should have been £59.98 - now £29.94) unfortunately web site says out of stock but phoned Currys near Shoreditch and Chelmsford and they both had stock..

Went to pick one up and the box had a 30% discount sticker on so I got it for £20.92...

fantastic and to think I almost paid nearly£60 2 weeks ago.

Haven`t tried it yet but it gets great reviews.

Ended up buying 2 in the end ...

RE: Aldi DVD burner £79.99 & other stuff

The Medion is black but if your PC is beige you can order a free beige front for the Medion from Aldi customer services I believe

RE: Too bloody good to miss - Sky+ for a Ton!!!!

It`s only the bog standard original Thomson box but isn`t 2 years old yet and has 2 IRDa Blasters if you happen to have a Pace digibox to control.

Didn`t take out the £199 lifetime subscription hence my decision to move to Sky+ (saves me the £10 a month). Even though Tivo is miles better....

I`m going to try for £150 but if I can cover the cost of the SKY+ box then I`ll be reasonably happy.

RE: Too bloody good to miss - Sky+ for a Ton!!!!

Hi,

I just rang the number (0870 2423256) and quoted the ref USKPBTAA and got nowhere...Didn`t recognise the reference and I got quoted the normal £199 + £10...

Is this offer only open to existing customers ?

Second thoughts...Just tried again and the reference doesn`t match the phone number...This is a Friends and family offer so they were a little bit suspicious of where I got it but as I had `found out` about it it`s now ordered.....

£110 for the Sky+ box and additional digital decoder with installation...Now that is a bargain...

At last now I can ditch the Telewest boxes...

shame I`m going to have to say good bye to Tivo though...

Thanks for the tip guys....
