Star Trek: Nemesis

Got this the other week from play.com and am unable to play it in my player and my PC.

The disc isn`t recognised in the player but will only play in my PC at some very small distorted picture size!!

anyone else had similar problems or no of any solutions?

Cheers

RE: Twin Peaks...

Fire Walk with me as mentioned before is a prequel to the series and does give away the plot.

The whole point behind the series was who killed Laura Palmer, and that builds up throughout the series. But with FWWM it tells the story leading up to the murder and gives the story away.

Suggest you watch it series then movie.

For example, if you watch star wars episode 1, 2, and then 3 (when it comes out) then you will know that Anakin is Darth Vadar and Lukes father etc etc. So when watching episode 6 it is no big shock when he reveals who he is. It is better to watch them in the order they were made.

RE: Twin Peaks...

Twin Peaks is class......

The Series 1 box set is available for £17.99 at play.com, R2, and includes the Pilot episode as well. (as mentioned in the bargain buckets forum, a couple of weeks ago)

It has Heather Graham in it as an ex-Nun, need i say more.

Admittedly very wierd, but good stuff.

I hope they bring out the Series 2 or it defeats the object of wanting to watch the whole Twin Peaks saga.

Twin Peaks: Series 1 Boxset £17.99 @ play.com

For all you coffee drinking, cherry pie eating fanatics out there this is must have at a bargain price.

Twin Peaks for £17.99!!!

Definately the cheapest i have seen it anywhere.

RE: LOTR The Two Towers: Extended Edition Problems????

Seems it is the DVD player, Wharfedale 750, doesn`t seem to take to kindly to the disc.

I bought another copy in HMV for the crazy price of £29.99 just to see if they would work.

Both copies that i got had the same problem as the dvd.co.uk, so can only assume it is the player. just have to watch it on my PC till i update my player i suppose.

still very annoying that all discs can`t be played.

what has happened to Wharfedale, are they still around, there website no longer works.....

RE: BTTF Part III - Replacement Disc

I take it they still replaced the disc then even though it was R4?

I will see if i can find the receipt and send it off to them.

When did this become apparent, don`t think i would have known of any problem if it wasn`t for looking on here.

Was there any mention in DVD magazines?

RE: BTTF Part III - Replacement Disc

I have the Australian version of the BTTF trilogy, came out months before the UK version, was miles cheaper on cd-wow and was region 2+4.

Is there a similar problem with this version or is it just the UK pressing that had the contrast issue.

Cheers

LOTR The Two Towers: Extended Edition Problems????

Ordered the 4-disc LOTR:TTT from dvd.co.uk for the crazy price of £17.99, a bargain.

Tried playing it on my Wharfedale 710(?) player the other night and it kept jumping all the time. I could live with it for a bit but then the player just stopped playing the disc altogether!! Tried restarting the disc but the same problem kept happening at the start of chapter 13.

Seems there where problems with the first release of LOTR:TTT the 2-disc version.

Anyone have any similar problems? Suggest a solution etc etc......

Cheers
