RE: Fishing gear

try

https://www.bosfish.co.uk/f_index.html

This place have been around for ages and seem to have good deals most of the time.
I`ve had stuff from them in the past when I fished.

you may be better off getting a cheap adult rod and reel for you kid rather than a "kids set". they never seem to be much good. and wont last half as long.
The Coarse Float Outfit for £29.99 looks like a good deal. and has most of what you need to get started.

hope this helps.

Re Bullitt79 `s message.

Been getting the paper since Saturday and as far as I know The On Golden Pond DVD is a one off. haven`t seen mention of others after.

Guess I`m one of the lucky ones. got 3 of the 4 other DVD`s so far :-)
Enemy of the state turned up on Monday.

Just a quick update on this thing
Got my copy of muriel`s wedding through the post this morning.
It was in a normal hard plastic case and so far seem ok.
fingers crossed the others from this offer are the same.

RE: DVD Internet retailers who accept Postal orders ??

bit late seeing this thread
but here are some of the people I`ve used when paying by postal orders

DC DVD http://www.dc-dvd.net/
Benson world http://www.bensons-world.co.uk/
Blackstar http://www.blackstar.co.uk/
and as was said before, both CD wow and Amazon uk both take postal orders too.

RE: Where can I get cheap, decent single and double Amaray cases?

used these people a lot for cdr`s, ink and a few cases myself and never had a problem.
postage can work out a bit steep if not ordering much but may be worth a look.

RE: Question about a cheap DVD player from Amazon UK

Quick update from me.

The player turned up a few days ago and worked perfect straight out the box.
even managed to play a couple of non standard vcd`s fine ( as in lower audio and frame rates.. didn`t know what I was doing at first )

also plays NTCS films on my old TV that cant handle the output from my other DVD player, so guess it converts to a real pal signal, and not Pal 60 like most.

tried the machine with dvd;`s r1 , r2 and rO
vcd`s, svcd. ( cdr and cdrw ) Jpegs, mp3`s All played fine.

The osd can be a little annoying. when you have the image zoomed in, you cant get rid of the osd overlay saying what zoom level you`re at or the box showing what part of the image you`re looking at, but that`s a very small gripe, considering what else it does well.

so if you are lucky enough to get a good one I think it`s a great little piece of kit for a silly price.

RE: Question about a cheap DVD player from Amazon UK

Thanks for the update LuggyBear.
At least it seems like the multi region issue can be sorted easy enough.

RE: Question about a cheap DVD player from Amazon UK

Thanks for the feedback
Seen a few people say that R1 playback is a problem, but looks like most players work ok. Fingers crossed the new batch the`re getting in will be better.

For that price have to give it a try anyway

thanks again
Nick.

Question about a cheap DVD player from Amazon UK

Sorry if this has been discussed before but was wondering if anyone here has gone for the Yamada DVD 5520 Multi-region DVD Player from Amazon UK, and if so, is it as good as it sounds for the money ( £39 ) with free postage thrown in.

TIA

Nick
