You do not see ANYTHING until u key in that final 7 then the current region code pops up in the corner of your screen, then just hit 9 and watch it change to multi region.
PS incase anyone thought of recording the dvd`s it DOESNT disable the macrovision!

All I did on my 511 was power up, ensure tray is closed and empty, then u see the dvd logo screen then on remote hit
Repeat,3,8,7,6 and 7
02 then appeared in top right (region), then hit 1 on remote for region1, the 2 then changes to one and thats it! away you go.
Ive Just watched Mission To Mars Region 1 absolutly fine, I also tried 9 for multi region, worked like a dream. I will let u know tomorrow if the alledged macrovision disable works to, its a bit fiddly to get behind the unit!

I want a copy of Enter the Dragon, but it must be uncut, eg when he enters the radio room , you see the full fight with the Nunchukas.Any ideas, pointers etc...Ive bought the UK one but thats cut to shreds (surprise!!)

Im very pleased with my 511 (got it free with a mobile phone that Sky did an offer on in October)
Only thing is I wish it would play VCD,s as I have some video etc downloaded off the net, and camcorder tape ive put on VCD

Thanks to Mike G for letting me know about this, I tried the Thompson DTH-3300 region crack on my Samsung-511 with the remote which comes with it and it Worked, not only region 1, but region free..!
Now how happy am I!!!!!

Where can I buy a Samsung 511 region Hack chip???

Apply cracks with Palm Pilot????

Is there software about that enables region cracks to be applied using the Palm Pilots Infra red mode?. I have a Samsung 511 and want to crack it without buying a remote.

Help My Samsung DVD511 wont play CDR discs

Is there a way around this, cause ive got loads of audio cd,s and some vcd`s, and I want to do away with my CD player.
