RE: Need multi-region hack for Pioneer dv535...PLEASE!!!!

Bought mine from www.upgradeheaven.co.uk - they re-programme the chip. Can be done afterwards, they say it doesn`t affect warranty (I think).

Mine`s fine - recommended.

RE: any info on pioneer 530?please

Bought DV535 multiregion & macro disable from www.upgradeheaven.co.uk - very pleased with it - excellent picture quality and other features.
Yep - it play CDR & CDRW discs, but not mp3 (not a prob).

I would recommend it - even on our "old" 4:3 Sony Nicam quality was best ever seen!!!

RE: Which MultiRegion - newbie needs advice please...

Many thanks all for your comments - I went out and bought a Pioneer DV535 from www.upgradeheaven.co.uk - multiregion/macro disable.

We`re very pleased with it and amazed at picture quality even on our "old" 4:3 Nicam Sony!!! (must get a new telly..!).

RE: Pioneer 535 or LG 335?

Well I just biught a Pioneer 535 (multi-regionned...), and it`s far better than I expected - however I am a "newbie" to all this....!!!

I have no real quibbles with the 535 and would therefore not hesitate to recommend it..., nothing against the LG itself, but I feel the LG stuff generally is a lower quality.

RE: Pioneer DV-535 Help Help!!!!!

We`ve just bought one and it`s great!

Got ours fron Home Cinema Heaven - £249.99.

The 530 is a slightly lower spec, but still essentially the same machine.

Martin.

RE: Pioneer DV535

Wel - it arrived OK, and I`m very pleased with it - even on Scart socket through to my 4:3 Nicam Sony!!!

Can`t wait to replace TV and buy audio stuff too!

Martin.

RE: Pioneer DV535

Hi Mark, Bigf... etc,

Your comments were very much appreciated, and as a result of your info have ordered a DV535 multiregion! (from "Upgrade Heaven" in Wakefield).

Cost was £249.99 + £10 for delivery. Order placed via web-site (www.upgradeheaven.co.uk), and should be here by Tuesday.

I`ll let you know what I think!

Once again, thanks for all the advice & info....

Martin L.

RE: Pioneer DV535

Mark, Thanks for the comments - but I thought that the DV535 did have DTS??? - I may be wrong...(just re-read the spec - it says "DTS compatible" ->>> what does that mean??? and is built-in DTS desirable for me at this stage???

That "techie" speak was over my head at this stage!!!, but I`ll only be using it through Scart lead until I change my Nicam Sony TV.

Thanks again,

Martin.

Pioneer DV535

Thinking of buying this multi-region version... anyone got any views?

Seems to do all I need for £250.

Or any other suggestions (Hitachi poss???).

Which MultiRegion - newbie needs advice please...

I`m looking to buy a multi-region DVD, but getting flooded with tech info and bad advice from local stockists - so, perhaps you guys could help me out!

I would prefer not to have to use a remote controller type of crack - just to put any region dvd in and press play would be ideal!

Scart sockets preferred.

Built-in dolby digital.

Obviously a "tried & tested" player, with no potential problems...

Ideally "kid-proof"!

I`ve got a couple of models in mind so far...>>> Sony DVPS535,
Pioneer DVDRV20, Pioneer DVDA160, Pioneer DV535

Budget up to £350 max.

Any advice, comments, suggestions or alternatives would be appreciated!

Thanks...
