DVD SHRNK 2

Hi ,Ive recently hooked up with DVD Shrink 2, a much more impressive program than its predecessor [IMO] however, Ive been having trouble trying to use it with my region 1 disks, I keep getting errors [every time] anyone else use this program and do you have trouble like this? Or does anyone know how I could get around this problem?

apparently one in five people in the world are Chinese. Coming from a family of five therefor one of them must be Chinese. Its either my mum or dad, my older brother Colin or my younger brother Mao Tse Cheung. I think its Colin.

RE: true romance

Im fixing to buy this release also,[one of my FAVOURITE all time movies], Ive already gave away my old copy in preparation. Your review doesnt mention if there are any great differences in the actual movie, [I understand this to be a new cut], anyone seen this could give me info?

RE: Anyone else hate their f*cking life?

Okay, perhaps filling him in in person is a touch risky, a couple of quid to some local young team [or even better to some desperate junkies] to start a campaign of terror against his household, i.e, battery acid on his car and lawn, spray paint on his walls, etc, would hit the mark a little closer. Start screwing with this bullies world and watch him tumble into oblivion. Alternatively you could take the advice of trying the legal recourses and Im sure after around four years you may possibly get somewhere and have most likely lost your job in the meantime.

ps, Ebony, my post is obviously ment tongue in cheek, and Big Bubba has since found religon, jeeze, give the guy a break, he rapes a couple of inmates and some people just wont let him forget it........

Dunno, maybe Im just old fashioned, or incurabley working class, but Id find out where he drinks, go in and kick the living s*** out of him, you may loose your job, but damn, it WILL make you feel better. [JMO]:)

RE: The final word: is it worth upgrading to the EE of FOTR, taking everything into account?

I couldnt disagree more.....I own both versions of FOTR and the DTS [IMHO] has nothing wrong with it at all, its simply amazing, the 5.1 is no slouch, but COME ON, are we talking about the same thing here? Did you guys remember to turn your DTS options ON? My house virtualy SHAKES to the foundations with it! The DTS rocks! No pleasing some people....

While the extended cut is obviously the better of the pair, [the DTS soundtrack alone is simply a MUST have], I prefer to have both cuts of the movie, keep the theatrical version and jump right in for the 4 disc cut, both are worthy of anyones collection.

RE: A music question for all

"In the fifties Elvis rebelled against the establishment, in the sixties,[the Hollywood years] he was embraced by the establishment and by the seventies......he WAS the establishment!"
Jerry Hopkins.

Have to say, even though I cant stand them personaly, Im surprised no ones mentioned the Sex Pistols for the seventies, if anyone created a whole new musical culture for a decade [as Elvis and the Beatles did] Id say you have to give it to them.....the eighties is far harder but I suppose Wacko Jacko would be in the running, though not to the same extent.

RE: Beware of CopyDVDPro software

Sorry to allow the thread more airtime, but just thought Id add that I use dvdshrink, which is freeware, and have had no trouble at all from it, if a disc needs re-authored or compressed the only degradation I can find is in the discreet audio, 5.1 or DTS not being QUITE as good as they should, other than that everything else has been pretty good, and, easy to use. XCOPY is regarded as best, but the problem is it wont allow compressing to one disc, which for me is no use, though XCOPY Express are now advertising one disc copy, but Im assuming its the same technology as Shrink.......anyone used this Express? [I burn my dvd discs at x4 in around 13 mins using a pioneer 105 and red top data-writes, after over 60 discs Ive yet to come across a single problem in either playback or copying, I use Stomp Record Now Max]

RE: Just watched "The Godfather" trilogy......

The Godfather for me [both parts one and two] stands on top of the mountain in cinematic perfection, they have it all....acting at its very best from some of the soon to be biggest names in the business, a director [whos talent would touch genius more than once in his career] at the very top of his talent, the grand Hollywood-esq return to favour of a bygone superstar, a score unequaled in its simplicity and yet matching its epic scale and last but not least, its one of those few true gems Hollywood gives us that, like a fine wine, truly refuses to age.

Where on earth have you picked this set up for £17.00????

I already have it, but at that price would buy a couple more for gifts.

RE: Laying Laminate Floor

Often it depends on the quality of the flooring youve bought. Buy the cheaper stuff and your asking for trouble, anything for over £20.00 per pack should usualy be okay, that said, if your floor runs off at all it will give you problems. As for the suggestion of cutting through door posts, Im sure he ment actualy the small blocks at the bottom of the facings and the inside door checks.[I hope]
