Does anyone know what is going on at Sonel?
I have been trying to order a Macro Master Pro from Sonel for about four weeks now, but when I phone the mobile number it`s turned off, and when I phone the landline I get an answering machine. I have tried leaving a message, but get no return call. Does anyone know if Sonel are still trading? I would be grateful for any information as I am pulling my hair out!

I have recently seen the Alba DVD55 for sale at £39.95 at Toys `r` Us, but didn`t purchase it because I don`t know if it needs a hack to make it multi region.Also I would like to know if it plays VCD`s and SVCD`s etc.Can any body help me with more info on this machine please?

I have just seen the tiny Alba DVD55 for £39.95 at Toys `r` Us.I was put off buying it because I am unable to find out if it can be made to play VCD`s. I would also like to know if there is a multi region hack for this machine. Any info on this machine would be appreciated.

Curry`s do the Maxim MX11-20 for £59.95 which has built in Karaoke CDG capabilities.It also plays VCD`s as well.
Settings when backing up to tape?
I have recently purchased a Dansai 1010 from Tescos for £59.97 and have upgraded the firmware as listed in earlier threads. I am very pleased to say that I can now play vcd`s and svcd`s, the machine is multi region, and I have turned off the macrovision.
My question is that when backing up my discs to tape I don`t know what settings to use. The vcr can be set to auto, 4:3 or 16:9. The DVD player can be set to 4:3 PS, 4:3 LB or 16:9.
Any ideas guys?
