Thanks Aslan...I`ve got a great widescreen...Toshiba 100Hz..with all the sound gizmo`s...so the DVD is bound to complement it no end...whats nextis to build up that dvd collection...any good sites to get good value dvd`s...

RE: Toshiba SD220E (multi-region)

Jimmy...I really appreciate this...but what i can`t understand andI may be misinterpreating this but is multi-region different from `Region Free` ie the multi-region DVD player that I buy may not necessarily allow me to play those R1 dvd`s.....darn this is confusing....also any advice on the best scart lead to get...the guys at Richer Sound recommended a £20 one....
Cheers

RE: Toshiba SD220E (multi-region)

Cheers guys..I`ll pick up the player tomorrow...I know I may not be upto speed with these things asyet but what is RCEandwhere would I pick up a non-RCE R1 disc?? I presume R1 refers to region 1....Thanks once again...

Toshiba SD220E (multi-region)

I am looking to purchase the Toshiba SD220E (multi-region) from Richersounds (£119.95) and wondered whether members could give me advice on if this and if is the best one within that price range or whether I should go for another player.
Secondly I have heard that it is better to go for a remote hackable DVD player rather than a chipped one as DVD`s may have some software applied to them at some point in the future to make life difficult for a chipped set. Comments please...Cheers
