RE: DTH7000
There is a god!
Thank you for that!!
Just one question: Do you know how to switch it back? Just curious.
RE: Philips DVDR-880 Multi Region Hack - HELP!
I would be most interested in how you get on, Spike.
Personally (and I don`t want to sound like a harbinger of doom here) I don`t think that a OneForAll will help you. If you can get the dashes up on your display with the Philips remote, I`m not sure what advantage you will find by using the OFA to get the same.
Hopefully I will be wrong. Maybe by using the OFA you will get `different` dashes!
Best of luck.

Spiked
You didn`t leave me your email address when you mailed me. The mail came via dvdreviewer and so didn`t have a return address.
However, to reply to the points in your email:
I had trouble brining the dashes up with my Philips remote. So, after reading on various forums, I went out and got a OneForAll 6 from Argos (£24.99 on offer). After frigging about with this (it wouldn`t work with my recorder until I upgraded via the OneForAll website), I eventually managed to get the dashes (9 of them) up on my display. So far so peachy.
Using the Philips remote for input, I then tried the 222 222 005 255 code. Didn`t work. I read on here about the 121 212 005 255 code, so I tried that too. You guessed it! Didn`t work (I tried many times). So I put in the 121 212 005 001 code. It Worked!! Well, at least to region 1. I then put in the 121 212 005 002 code to revert back to region 2. No problems.
So, by now I am frustrated. So I try the 121 212 005 255 code again - and it worked. Don`t ask me why it did, I have no idea. I didn`t do anything different on the last time than any other. The only problem so far that I have found is that it won`t play my R1 Spiderman, which I believe is RCE, although my other R1 RCE disks play ok and several of my mates` do as well.
Speculation as to why this worked is welcome as I have no idea.
RE: Philips DVDR 880
Hi
I was having probs until I set the region to one (121 212 005 001) and back to two (121 212 005 002) again. I then re-applied the 255 code and it seems to have worked.
The only disk I can`t play is region 1 Spiderman for some reason (RCE?). I thought all disks were supposed to be playable...
As a side note, I only get 9 dashes on my player and I had to use a One For All 6 to get the dashes up (the Philips remote wouldn`t cut it!)
