RE: Need a favour from someone with a DVD recorder and Sky....

Can open - worms everywhere....

I had intended to tape this movie for the kids onto VHS. (Having both Sky and a VHS recorder.) I was hoping that someone would make a copy for me onto something a little more hard-wearing than a VHS tape, knowing how often children will rewatch films, often several times in a day.

There`s nothing sinister in my request - I`m not looking to start a DVD piracy ring. I am effectively looking to borrow someone`s DVD recorder (without it actually leaving their house) to record this movie for my family`s enjoyment. This is a brand new TV movie that hasn`t yet been released on DVD. (It`s not to be confused with the Muppet Christmas Carol movie which has just been released recently.) When someone officially releases a DVD, I will buy it, like I have for all the other Muppet DVDs released so far.

Oh, and no, I wasn`t offering money over and above the cost of a blank DVR+/-R. Like I said in the header, I`m looking for a favour here.

Need a favour from someone with a DVD recorder and Sky....

Any kind souls out there who would be willing to record "A Very Merry Muppet Christmas" onto a round shiny disc for me? It`s on at the following times:

08/12/02 - 19:00 - Sky Movies Premier 1
09/12/02 - 05:35 - Sky Movies Premier 1
11/12/02 - 13:20 - Sky Movies Premier 2
11/12/02 - 19:00 - Sky Movies Premier 2

I have a feeling that it`ll be watched enough times to wear out a VHS....
