PHILLIPS DVDR880 MULTIREGION PROBLEM
Does anyone know how to multi region the dvdr880 i have tried to chnge the region setting but when i tried a region 1 disc the picture was black and white can the dvdr880 play NTSC discs please help

ive connected it via the scart i dont know about the ntsc compatability of my tv its a philips 32"widescreen only about 2 years old.ive also got a wharfdale 750s which i usually use to play my region 1 discs this has an option on the menu to use pal60 for region 1 i thought maybe the philips would be the same.

ive managed to hack the dvdr880 using the 121212005001 hack to play region 1 discs but the picture is black and white please can someone tell me where ive gone wrong thanx.

if your player is not capable of removing macrovision try the MAC MASTER available from www.zoodirect.com/ i got mine from a computer fair it works fine recording from region 2

Try using the MAC MASTER video stabilser if you dont own a player capable of removing macrovision it costs about £35 i picked mine up at a computer fair in wolverhampton

Got the philips dvdr880 last week but i cant get it to play my region 1 discs can anyone help.I dont have an all4one remote,ive switched the machine to player mode on the remote setup.i pressed play then 1,5,9 the front display showed 9 spaces like this"---------" i then entered the code 121212005255 pressed play NO DISC appeared on the display i turned off the machine but when i tried to play a region 1 disc i got a message telling me the disc was the wrong region for the player ! can anyone tell me where im going wrong please its doin my head in thanx.
