I Bought One Of These Medion Machines From Aldi, And I Am Very Impressed With It, Picture And Sound Are Excellent, Around The Back There Is A Scart, Optical + Coaxial, Component Video, And A 5.1Ch Decoded Output, It Also Plays Mp3 + Vcd And Is Multi -Region Hackable Via The Handset, It Looks Very Smart As well, And Well Put Together. Richer Sounds Sell The Same Machine Only Their`s Is Called
Limit.

Why Not Get A Patition Up, And Send It To This Korean Company ,Who Are Producing All These Duff Machines,And Ask For Compensation For All The Time And Trouble Caused.

Why Not Get The Medion Player From Aldi ,It`s Only 99 Quid And Produces Results As Good As Sony,Panasonic Etc.And Is Also Multi Region Capable,From The Remote Control, It Also Looks Very Smart ,Being Silver,Also Plays Mp3,Svcd Etc, The Machine Uses Panasonic Parts,And Is Very Quiet In Operation.

Try Setting The Switch On The Back Of The Machine, To Component Video, If This Does`nt Work Check To see If Pin 16 On The Scart Plug Is Showing A Switching Voltage, 8V =RGB.

You Were Right,The Replacement Machine Was Rubbish,They Only Upgraded The Firmware And Made It Default To Subtitles, So I Took It Back To Argos For A Complete Refund ,No Problems,Considering I Purchased It Five Months Ago.
I Ended Up Buying A Medion Player From Aldi For 99 Quid, And I Must Say It Is A Most Impressive Machine.
