sounds to me that the tv has the wrong country in the install menu.

press the menu botton on the remote
push the down arrow until install is highlighted
push the right hand arrow
on the secound line down from the op it should read "country GB"
If it does not change to GB and that should solve your problem

Sanyo DCTS-750 Home Theatre Kit

Yep sl20 zip is the correct file for the dcts750 and as the name suggests it is also the region hack for the early sl20 if you look on the back of an sl20 in brackets it will say uk or uk2 if it says uk you can use this file

The firmware i have available only works on region 2 uk machines

I have tried to send the file to hotmail accounts and but they just keep comming back.

Philips players have a resume feature but its not auto. when you put the disc in a symbol appears in the top right then all you do is press play

yep you can use the remote hack on this model but it can be tricky as there are no dashes displayed so you might need to do it more than once

1 - open the tray on the player
2 - press 0000 on the remote control
3 - now press the key for the rgion you wish to set (1-6) or press 0 for all regions
4 - its now done, should be confirmed by osd

this model is produced for philips not by them hence the 750 trick does not work

Sorry for the delay in reposting a reply we have had a new firewall installed at work and it would not let me post anything.

Now down to bussiness
The firmware i have available only works on region 2 uk machines also sanyo have changed there codes and models produced during september and there after the firmware will not work i will post a new thread if i get hold of the new firmware.

I have tried to send the file to hotmail accounts and but they just keep comming back.

yep this type of distortion is typical on all philips flat screens models and i am afraid you are not the only one to be complaining about it. it is possiable to adjust the picture with a service remote but adjusting the picture in one area often distorts it in another. not really a lot you can do
